vrijdag 31 januari 2014 It's harsh to wake up to Take It On The Run. My alarm plays 106.9 FM. Black bean chili and h-b egg for breakfast. Turn on Stephanie Miller, but I'm not real listening. Walk through the rain to work. Seahawk Krispy Kream donuts in the staff lounge.
I'm in the Infant Room quite a bit today. Sea Otters, too. We're doing diapers after lunchtime. Naps. Streetcar to d'town. Wow. I'm tired... and still fighting this cold. In its 7th stage, I swear. Watch KOMO News. This city is so high on pride and spirit for the Seahawks... It's incredible. I've never experienced anything like this. I love this. Thanks, MTV. Get Ready, NYC! They talk a lot about this guy - New York Republican congressman Michael - I'll Break You In Half - Grimm. He physically threatened a NY1 reporter at the Capitol. This is awful! Walk up Westlake to work. Hang out with the Starfish for a change. They really love books. We play with trains, too. Outside to the Sea Otters. Inside, they dance to some music CDs. Lunch time is quick. Over to Dolphins for Anne's lunch break. The kids are sleeping. Everyone sleeps well. Streetcar to d'town. Train to Uwajimaya. Avocados are a deal - 2 for $3. Busy store. Seahawk colors in the square - blue and green.
Train back to d'town. More KOMO News. I like this one - From 'Thrift Shop' to 'White Walls': Inside the Macklemore tour. And Seahawks fans crush Bronco at Wash. state scrap yard. I laugh! Destruction is so funny! Ha! A bologna and guacamole sandwich for dinner. 8 o'clock movie - The Castle Of Fu Manchu. An evil Chinese mastermind plots to freeze the Earth's oceans. Just a few short breaks. I'm with the Sea Otters most of the day. Joyce wants to be there at nap time, so her lunch is earlier. This time, I'm extra at lunchtime. The diapers get done after lunch. The kids go down for naps toward 1 o'clock. Someone wakes up sad... inconsolable. Over to the Infant Room. A couple bottles and 3 diapers. Walk down Terry to Whole Foods. Get some ingredients for black bean chili. Home. Watch KOMO News... live from Super Bowl Boulevard.

Nice. In fact, it seems mellow. The kids are tired. Naps are easy. Some sleep longer than others. Streetcar to d'town. Back at my place. MEDIA DAY! MEDIA DAY! I'm in the Infant Room for a little while. Feed some kids in high-chairs. They're good eaters. Over to Sea Otters. They leave a huge lunch mess. Yogurt and hummus smashed up together. I can't wait for nap time. I'm really low-energy. When Drew wakes up, he asks me to read a book - Can You See What I See? Dinosaurs! by Walter Wick. Why is the robot hiding in the cave? Drew points it out to me. Clever book.
Walk up Mercer to the Seattle Center. It's a splendid day.
Shop at Metropolitan Market. #2 bus to d'town. Watch KOMO News. We're really hot for the Seahawks. Richard Sherman celebrates after the NFL football NFC Championship. A reporter was right at the goal zone when he made that incredible TD. Lucky gal. Let's go, Seahawks! Go! Seahawks' Richard Sherman fined $7,875 for taunting.

Walk up Westlake to work. It's a Sea Otter/Dolphin day again. Joyce gets an early lunch. Some kids are definitely interested in these monsters. I put out a Plastic Jurassic on the table. The kids go GRRR!
Dolphins have a quick lunch. Allen changes all the diapers. They conk out fast. Over to Sea Otters again. Light sleepers. They wake up one-by-one. Streetcar to d'town. Visit my bank about a mysterious charge. Financial frustration! I need to get a new debit card. Watch KOMO News. What's great with a glass of wine during the Superbowl? A wine guide tells us. Champagne with potato chips... I can see that. But wine with skittles? Hmmmm.
Seattle has Seahawks fever. But this is interesting - Wenatchee vet advertising ‘free Bronco castrations’ But the people love it!
Lutefisk with fried potatoes for dinner. (Actually, I'm craving salmon.) Watch Power Rangers Operation Overdrive - Behind The Scenes. The Rangers are invited to perform an on-air interview for a popular talk show. Some rangers are psyched... Some are not. Go, Rangers!

I'm like a Ping-Pong, going back and forth between the Sea Otters and the Dolphins. Together, the kids make Cloud Dough... a combination of cornstarch and hand conditioner and a little purple paint. It's lovely and silky. Set up lunches for the Dolphins. Sea Otters for nap time. Dolphins for nap time. Some of the Sea Otters wake up early. One of them plays in the lobby with me. I've seen this before... maybe when cat sitting. Beef and bean burrito for dinner. Next? Movie - Hercules vs. Moloch... Ercole contro Moloch. A lot of sword play. Cling, cling... And women screaming. I wish that I could watch this in French.

It's called Bombogenesis... a type of winter storm exploding across the Northeast. No breakfast. Just coffee. Turn on Stephanie Miller. A heated debate with Charlie Pierce of Esquire’s Politics Blog about the latest with the Snowden/NSA revelations. Walk up to Denny. Visit Whole Foods to get a tuna salad wrap. Short-staffed at work. Up to Trailblazers. Hang out while the kids make paper airplanes and wash baby dolls. Down to the Infant Room for 3 hours. The babies are great. Back to my old friends, the Sea Otters. Low numbers here. They're sleeping soundly. Glad to leave at 3. My cold is dragging me down. Streetcar to Denny. #8 bus up to B'way. Pick up a bottle Viking Fjord. #49 to my place. Watch KOMO News. Behold a beautiful sunset.
Can you see Mt. Rainier back there? Watch Power Rangers Operation Overdrive - Man Of Mercury. Tyzonn who joins the gang as the Mercury Ranger. They are forced to fight multiple villains and travel worldwide in the effort to capture the jewels before their enemies can. Tyzonn becomes the 6th Ranger and defeats the Fearcats. zaterdag 18 januari 2014 Up at 6:35. Nice to sleep in. Watch Enterprise - Horizon. Travis visits his old home - the ECS Horizon - and he clashes with his brother, the ship's new captain, as the ship is attacked by pirates.
Next, Enterprise - Cogenitor. The Enterprise crew makes first contact with the Vissians, a species with three genders. Trip meets one of the species' third gender, known as Cogenitor, and tries to help it. Trip and Charles watch a movie together - The Day The Earth Stood Still. Chipotle beef and rice for breakfast.
Then it's Wait, Wait... Don't Tell Me! I do pretty well with the news quiz... and with the limericks. This American Life - Stuck In The Middle. I like the story Do You Hear What I Hear? Of course, they discover the haunting "hold music" - Opus Number One.
The lovely and talented Sam Huntington. I love him as a werewolf...
And in Freshman Orientation. College freshman Clay decides to play along when his dream girl mistakenly thinks he's gay. vrijdag 17 januari 2014 Happy Birthday! Michelle Obama's not just embracing her half-century milestone, she's relishing it. She's so cool! Michelle Obama fabulous at 50!
Up with alarm. Chili and cheese omelet with toast for breakfast. Turn on Stephanie Miller. I'm listening to the show while browsing through Seahawks Blue Friday Viewer Photos. Out through Freeway Park. It's frightfully foggy out there.
Up Westlake to Denny. #40 bus to Mercer. There's a lot of Seahawk spirit at work. Kids and adults are wearing the Blue-and-green. What's that ruckus upstairs? The kids are playing football in their block area. "Touchdown! We win! We get the trophy!"
Down to the playground with my Sea Otters friends. As usual, one asks me about bubbles? I love bubbles. The kids show me their cold hands. So, we go inside to warm up. Up to Wildflowers for their lunchtime. Kenn tells some great stories while they eat. They're riveted. But chaos emerges before nap time. I'm relieved to go back down to the Dolphins and Sea Otters. I need to share myself between the two groups as Joyce is needed in the Infant Room. Thankfully, the kids want to sleep. Streetcar to d'town. Up to my place for a little news. Ho, hum. The Cycle devotes its first segment to The Road To The Superbowl. Bets on Seattle.
Chipotle beef on toast for dinner. Watch Enterprise - Judgment. Captain Archer is charged by a Klingon tribunal for helping rebels trying to escape the Empire.

Cheese and mushroom omelet with potatoes for breakfast. Turn on Stephanie Miller. She interviews Bob Cesca talks about the guy who shot another guy in Florida for texting in a theater - Deadly Weapon.
Walk up Westlake to Denny. #62 bus up to Mercer. The Sea Otters are outside already. They're early. I cover for Joyce's meetings. New toys in the classroom. They really like the dinosaurs. "ROAR!" I do the diapers and set up the lunches. We have Anne as an extra person. Naps are easy. Audrey tutors me about the new paycheck system. My last hour is busy with 3 kids waking up from naps. How can the others sleep through their noise? I can't not say. Streetcar to d'town. Onion soup, chicken and mash potatoes for dinner. Back to work for a meeting. We talk about Collaboration. Back to my place. Watch an episode of the BBC series - The Planets: Moon. I like the old-fashioned photo of the Moon from Luna 3.
Sticking to the theme, I watch MST3K - Moon Zero Two. A groovy astronaut from the 60s embarks on a psychedelic mission to intentionally crash a jewel-encrusted meteor onto the Moon.

The gang talks a lot about Chris Christie and the George Washington Bridge lane closure. The scandal “does not define” New Jersey, the Governor assures. It seems to define Chris Christie. Walk up Westlake to work. It's nice to be "extra" for the Dolphins and Sea Otters. Everyone gets their breaks. Set up lunches and nap mats. All goes smoothly. Transitions, diaper and circle time. The kids take less than 5 minutes to go to sleep. Spend an hour with the infants. They seem to like me. Back to Sea Otters. Some sleep short. Some sleep longer. Joyce has some new toys which interest the early-risers. Walk down Terry to Denny. #8 bus up to B'way. People are taking advantage of the nice weather to walk and jog around the neighborhood. SCCC is busy again. Back to my place. Watch KOMO News. SF, Seattle mayors place 'friendly wager' on Sunday's game. San Francisco Mayor Edwin M. Lee (left) and Seattle Mayor Ed Murray. Ice cream and chocolate for everyone!
