Crowds heading toward the Paramount for a concert by the Pentatonix. Relieved to be safe at home. Relax and watch Star Trek: The Voyage Home. Munch on fried chicken. Avoid the planet Earth at all costs! We're looking for nuclear Wessels!

The slide is busy today. When the kids get inside, Joyce reads books... including one of my favorites - Where's The Green Sheep. Diversity, sheep! Over to Infants to cover a couple lunch breaks. It goes well for the most part. However, naps are a little tough. In the Sea Otters, there's one early-riser. We visit the Infant Room for 20 minutes. The others sleep until 2:50. All at once, they wake up. Turn on KOMO News as I walk to the streetcar station. Interesting sports report from Sochi, Russia - Russia's Snowboard Couple Medals Together in Sochi. Vic Wild is an American snowboarder working for the Russians... A native of White Salmon, Washington. He gets the GOLD!

Low-Wage Nation

It's getting frustrating to me. Because of "austerity" at work, my wage has been frozen for 3 years. The cost of things keep going up and up. (I can't wait for the next rent increase.) Shop at Uwajimaya. Nothing on sale. But I get my Gekkeikan anyway. Train back to d'town. Should I cut Comcast out of my budget? I'm considering it. But then... Netflix would be cancelled. Cancel Amazon... No Way!
Something has to give! Geez. With a heavy heart, I fry up some beef gyoza with spinach.

Bill Nye debates Rep. Marsha Blackburn, R-Tenn. about climate change. This annoys me, too! It's not a debate any more. Enough! Wait for the #62. Starfish teachers get planning time. They have a little paint party. Later, we get out the peg boards. They make birthday cakes for themselves and sing "Happy Birthday" non-stop for 10 minutes. I do the diapers. Karen does lunch prep. Over to Sea Otters. They're in the middle of lunch. Anne does the daipers. Kenn cleans up the lunch mess. I sit and read books with the kids. Walk home in a little rain. Do a couple loads of laundry. I'm wearing my Gromit Gets Life t-shirt. Some of my neighbors admire it. "COOL!" (The kids like it, too.)
Relax and watch Saturday Night Live - February 1 - with Melissa McCarthy. Musical guest Imagine Dragons. Nice little spoof about the Super Bowl. Yikes! Poor Peyton Manning.
Chipotle beef on sweet potato tots for dinner. Watch some old Star Trek episodes and conk out.

Left-over General Tsao chicken and rice for breakfast. Out to do a little shopping. Visit Barnes & Noble. Down to Target to pick up some basics - bread, eggs, O. J. and underwear. Back to my place. Watch Power Rangers RPM - Rain. Dillion undergoes the testing for the Ranger technology.
Next - Go For The Green. That scrawny Ziggy doesn't look right.
Train down to Cat City. Maxine, Caui and Pete greet me. Michael watches Star Trek Phase II: Blood & Fire with me. It's heart-wrenching. I warned him that he might cry. It's an emotional scene as Alex dies.
Peter's grief is intense. Train back to d'town. Visit Westlake Center. Zara is open. Relax at my place. Thank you, David Gerrold. You're a marvelous talent. Once again... to furry, purring, hungry little creatures. Watch Star Trek: The Trouble With Tribbles.

Pork and sauerkraut sandwich for breakfast. Yum! That's good! Turn on Stephanie Miller. The gang talks about the Keystone XL project. A lot of callers weigh in as well. Op-ed in the L. A. Times - For Obama, procrastination on Keystone XL might be a virtue.
Walk up Westlake to work. I'm with the Sea Otters most of the day. Joyce gets planning time. Shaving cream! It gets pink in honor of Valentine's Day. I have more fun than the kids.
We also spend a lot of time in the Bike Room. It wears me out. I set up lunches. Over to the Infant Room for a fairly quiet hour. Most of the babies are sleeping, and the teachers have a breakfast bar. Bacon! Back to Sea Otters. The diapers are done. Some of the kids are asleep. Some need to sleep. It gets quiet... for an hour. The early-risers keep me busy. Streetcar to d'town. Relax with another episode of Star Trek Phase II - In Harm's Way. I'm getting goose bumps.
The Guardian then says Time has resumed its shape. All is as it was before. Many such journeys are possible. Let me be your gateway. Maybe another episode later. Watch The Cycle - The absurdity of white privilege in America.
