Advisory for high wave action and dangerous currents at Lake Erie beaches. Some pollution is in the air as well. Swarms of Lake Erie midges coming ashore. Y&Y! Yuck and yikes! 😂

Anyway... I ride my bike up to Lakeview Beach. Nice cool breezes from the north. Why do people just sit in their cars? Take a walk!

Remember the alien beach scene in Contact? Ellie is transported to some alien location, and the alien explains that this was the first step in humanity's path toward meeting other species in outer space. At home, I'm soothed by the sound of the waves in this screen saver.

In honor of the sculpture, let's watch MST3K: Horrors of Spider Island. Mike: Too bad we can't grab this movie with a tissue and crumple it and flush it down the toilet.

Back home safe and sound. The birds seem to be happy. Fun to watch the black-capped chickadees diving in and out of my honey locust tree. But the cardinal's song is just beautiful!
