He changes the culture on the planet Ekos remaking it into a copy of Nazi Germany. This episode aired February 16th, 1968. I’m not sure if historians in the sixties had realized that Nazi Germany was as chaotic as the literal lunatic-run asylum it basically was. Anyway... The story is a classic and the ending is a political statement! Meet my new cat, Claudius, named after one of the worst Roman emperors. He doesn't meow. He squeaks. With two AA batteries, he scurries across my kitchen floor. He's watching me read my book.

The Melrose Trail connects Downtown Seattle with Capitol Hill... and beyond. My dreams took me there. Wonderful west-facing views the whole way with relatively little car traffic!

Seattle doesn't have the best weather, but it was (is) a happy place. It has an optimism for the future, trust in communities and a supportive connections with friends and family. Also, a lot of people are of Nordic heritage. Thinking about how Finland is the happiest country in the world. Something rubbed off on Seattle. Thanks, Finland (et al). 💙
