dinsdag 6 januari 2015 Midnight movie - The Outlaw.
Billy The Kid is the outlaw not Jane Russell.
The story is rather engaging. Doc Holiday is trying to get back his horse which was stolen by the Billy The Kid. In the process, friendships are made and broken and loyalties are tested. Then I watch the sci-fi version of the Wild West - Star Trek: Spectre of the Gun.
Rice and beans for breakfast. Turn on Stephanie Miller. John Fugelsang calls in to talk about his big announcement today. He's going to have his own radio show on Sirius XM Ch. 121 "Get It Right". Syndicated columnist Tina Dupuy joins the show live in the Los Angeles Bureau to hang out for an hour. I love Tina's little stories about Fox News.
Watch another Western - The Half-Breed.
Charlie Wolf (Jack Buetel), a half-Apache, helps prevent his tribe from falling prey to an evil plan to steal the gold on Apache land. It scare me to death when Robert Young's whiskey glass is blasted out of his hand. A little nap. It's 54° and partly cloudy for my walk to Capitol Hill. The sun is trying to peak out. The SPL - Capitol Hill Branch is busy. There's only one computer available and it's slow. Walk back home. Watch news. Spaghetti and hot dogs for dinner. Spooky Movie Guy presents Not Of This Earth. "My eyes are alien. Look at me!"

maandag 5 januari 2014 Midnight movie - The Strange World Of Planet X
A mad scientist experiments with nature to everyone's peril and possibly demise. Messing with the earth's magnetic field can have dangerous circumstances and it is up to the military to clean up the mess. Lots of dialogue making me sleepy. I make it to the end... Then I conk out. Strange dreams. Up at 6:12. Turn on Stephanie Miller. She's back! The Rude Pundit offers his rude wishes for '15. Cool haiku, Rude. These Haiku Annihilate 2014! And They Are Everything!
Fettuccini carbonara (heavy with the bacon) for breakfast. Clean the kitchen while listening KUOW. Mop the floors. Empty a couple drawers. (I find a stash of incandescent light bulbs.) Throw out junk. It wears me out. An interesting report on Here & Now - Cities Create Housing Specifically For LGBT Seniors In a little more than a decade, one in five Americans will turn 65 or older. I'm getting there. In 2021, I'll turn 65. The rain finally stops, so I step outside for some fresh air. It's a muggy 56° for a short walk around Pike - Pine. Back to my place for a little while. Surf the internet. Check e-mail. I need to stretch my legs some more. Down Union to Pike Place Market to check out what's new and exciting. Actually, it's rather quiet at 3 o'clock. Where the old Scandinavian Deli used to be is now Crêpe de France... offering a place of solace with the pleasure of comfort food. Check out their menu. Ça Goûte Bon!
It's so unusual. Is this nap time for Pike Place? Even the fish mongers are quiet. Veer up Post Alley. What happened to Seattle's Best Coffee? It's Rachel's Ginger Beer. Hard stuff! For me? A Moscow Mule!
Back up Pike. Pass through the Convention Center. I want to join the convention. The American Astronomical Society is having their Winter meeting here. Pretty posters of outer space are hanging through the center. Behold the lovely and talented Andromeda Galaxy.
Watch the news while taking a hot bath. I think that the new manager of The Cambridge likes hot water, too. Aaaaah! That feels good. Watch Star Trek TNG: Brothers. Chicken and potatoes for dinner. At last! The War Of The Worlds on Netflix!

Watch KOMO News. Fantastic news - Macklemore & Fiancée Announce They're Expecting... with a cute video.
Egg fried rice for breakfast. It's 41° and drizzly for my walk up to the Harvard Market QFC. People are huddling together in the bus shelter. Chat with mom. Then, my sister sends me photos of Christmas in Ohio. Warms me up on a drizzly January day. My nephew! He's so tall! With a beard and a moustache. Decorations on a face. Way to go!
I miss them. Watch movie - Visit To The Prehistoric Planet. Their helper is John The Robot. Gotta love it!
Did I tell ya? I love my new modem - SurfBoard SB6141. It's pretty!

The Enterprise has arrived at Jouret IV in response to a distress signal from one of the Federation's outermost colonies." Those sneaky Borg! They capture Captain Picard!

zaterdag 3 januari 2015 Midnight movie - Forbidden Planet. Don't you love it, too? This is my favorite scene. The invisible monster from the Id is illuminated as a result of its contact with a defensive "force field" energy barrier and "ray gun" weapons fire.
Restless. Next movie - The Mysterians. In eastern Japan, a giant robot appears decimating everything in its path. A dome appears out of the ground and a group of scientists are invited to meet the alien Mysterians from the planet Mysteroid. The Mysterians say that have come in peace... "18% of our children are born with abnormal defects." (Isn't that a double negative?) I love the conversations via pink-o-vision.
All they ask humanity for is three-square kilometers of land and the right to interbreed with Earth women to repopulate their species. Outraged at such a suggestion, the Earth Defense Force declares war on the Mysterians. Write some e-mails. Finally, I conk out around 6:30 in the morning. Up again at 10:49. Pepperoni and red bell pepper pizza for breakfast. Watch Up With Steve Kornacki. It IS the first Saturday of the year 2015. Steve Kornacki and his guests reflect on the legacy of Democratic hero and former New York Gov. Mario Cuomo, and look at what could have happened if Cuomo ran for president - Mario Cuomo leaves behind a mystery for the ages.
It's 38° and hazy for my walk up to Whole Foods. The store is rather busy. It's outrageous but I got a package of 6 organic large brown eggs from Organic Valley - $2.99. Everything on the Quest Card. Listen to Imagine Dragons - It's Time on the radio on my way home. Soak in a hot bath while listening to the Rick Steves program. Francis Tapon checks in with Rick at the halfway point of his goal to explore each of Africa's 54 countries - Africa54.com. African historian Martin Meredith explains the lasting impact of the continent's colonial legacy. Also, Sasha Martin shares how to introduce your family to the favorite foods of every nation on earth - Global Table Adventure. I love Melissa Harris-Perry! 2015 resolution: The Year Of Talk. Mmmmmm. I'm a rather quiet guy. Yet...MHP invites more conservatives to appear on Nerdland. How can you refuse the bowl of M & M's?

Turn on BBC World Service - World Have Your Say, What are the options for cancer patients. It's 40° and bright and sunny for my walk up to B'way. Back down Pine Street to d'town. A few shoppers are in Westlake Center looking for deals. Business seems slow today. My back aches. I need to stop and sit every few minutes. Back to my place. Watch KIRO-7 News. Yep! It's becoming Amazon City. Time is up. Seattle's iconic Hurricane Café serving last meals to customers. It is slated to be demolished for an Amazon building.
