zondag 6 december 2015

zondag 6 december 2015 I love to sleep in on Sunday. Need to catch up with SNL. Hosted by Ryan Gosling. Be still, my heart! In “Birthday Party,” Gosling plays a Dad made uncomfortable by Aidy Bryant’s wildly inappropriate teen character, Melanie. It’s one of the only memorable recurring characters at this point of SNL’s season, in part because Bryant seems willing to proverbially “go there.” Gosling seems at times to barely hold it together as Bryant’s Melanie makes her bold advances.
C'mon Ryan, daddy-o! Take it off! You're so fine!
Watch: Ryan Gosling Can’t Stop Laughing During ‘SNL’ Sketch I'd love to watch The Big Short. Up to Haggen. It's 54.7 ° and very windy. A gust almost blows me down. Takes me 44 minutes and 41 seconds round-trip. Pyramid Outburst Imperial IPA - 8.5% ABV. Open my window to listen the the wind howl. Steve Raible does the play-by-play on 710. Seahawks fly past Vikings 38-7 for 3rd straight victory. While en route to the Mogana quadrant, the Enterprise comes comes across a unique phenomena for the first time. It appears as a black void. Where Silence Has Lease.
Picard is met by an image of Nagilum on his ready-room computer. Nagilum offers his evaluation of humanity, criticizing the race's faults and claiming they have nothing in common with his kind. Picard disagrees, pointing out that their recent encounter shows that both races are curious, which Nagilum concedes to before disappearing.

zaterdag 5 december 2015

zaterdag 5 december 2015 I agree with our President. This is Insane.
After MSNBC, I switch to NPR. Turn on Wait, Wait! Not My Job: We Ask Actor Jeff Daniels About People Named Steve And Their Jobs. I love him in The Martian! "I am the director of NASA." Yikes! It's a bit rainy, but I walk up Sunset Drive a little bit. Time to dry off and watch MST3K. Crazy things happen at the bake sale.
What a stormy day! Nice for staying inside and watching Netflix. Is it just me? Why the CW's 'The Flash' Is a Pretty Great Gay Show. What's with Thawne? Lord Have Mercy!

vrijdag 4 december 2015

vrijdag 4 december 2015 Up at 4:55. Turn on Free Speech TV for Democracy Now and Stephanie Miller. Last Comic Standing - Nick Guerra - joins the gang in the studio.
Nick Guerra: Trump is the best 80s movie waiting to happen. Watch The 100 - Rubicon. Crazy episode! Dr. Tsing selects Monty for harvesting. And as the guards start to take him away, all hell breaks loose. Jasper shoots one of the guards in his bullet-proof vest. The Delinquents fight back but are eventually restrained by the guards. Dr. Tsing then tells them to take Jasper instead. Nice to start late... Noon. The kids are done with lunch. We do a few diapers, and they go down for naps. Active afternoon. Three outside to the playground. This kid loves the chilly weather.
Relax at home with Yaegaki sake. Laugh at some Nick Guerra vids on YouTube. (Guerra means war.) Need help from the United Nations? Naciones Unidas!

donderdag 3 december 2015

donderdag 3 december 2015 Up at 4:45. Shootings - USA - guns. The news of last night's rampage on France 24. The police say 14 people were killed and 17 others injured in a mass shooting at a social services centre in San Bernardino, California. Two suspects identified in California mass shooting. I can't believe it's 58.7 ° and I hear the wind howling outside.
Here comes the rain. I doubt that we're taking the kids out today... But! The rain holds off. It's a grand 58.8 ° when I take some of the tods out to the playground. "It's a good day to fly a kite!" says a pre-schooler. (Or did I say that?) It's a rather warm day for Dec. 3rd. Rain on my way home. It's an atmospheric river.
Does Bellingham have a Rain Shadow? Am I the Rain Shadow?

woensdag 2 december 2015

woensdag 2 december 2015 The alarm wakes me up at 6 o'clock. On KOMO News - Tysen Campbell appears in a Whatcom County courthouse. Bail set at $10,000 for student arrested for racial threats at WWU.
Watch MST3K - Phase IV. A commercial of Joel on Comedy Central. How precious! 1988... His stand up days.
The day is a blur. Another 30-minute lunch. I get a homemade peanut butter cookie at The Black Drop. My first visit there. Busy little place. The bus ride back is packed. Is everyone high?

Issued its first orange alert — the second highest of four warning levels — in almost two years. Turn on Stephanie Miller. Dean Obeidallah talks about his article on CNN: Donald Trump's pants are on fire; does anyone care?
Work is work. I visit Wally's for a thorough buzz cut. I meet the actual Wally. He inspects Alina's job. I didn't expect a shoulder massage at the end. It's raining now. They have great Pad Thai at the co-op. Sit down and eat some wi-fi, too. Watch the news. Back to work for the meeting. Thankfully, I get a ride home. Grim little episode of The 100. Poor, Bellamy.
Coup de GrĂ¢ce.
