When Paul Atreides killed Jamis in a Tahaddi Challenge, Paul's guilt over killing the man caused him to shed tears during the funeral rite. According to longstanding Fremen tradition, to weep during a funeral rite was said to be giving water to the dead. It's regarded as a profound experience, and one by which the Fremen present were awed.

donderdag 7 maart 2019 My midnight movie is a throwback to 1986 - Adventure, Family, Sci-Fi film SpaceCamp. According to SYFY, there are Five Reasons To Watch SpaceCamp.

Decent night's sleep. Out to walk the dog as the sun rises. Leftover snow from yesterday. Sidewalks are icy crunchy. Up to the DSHS Office to make changes... updates. In Washington State, Medicaid is called Apple Health. I need help to update changes for them, too. Visit my friend Michael at his work. Then over to the Co-op for lunch.

I meander around town for the rest of the day. Back at the house, finally, to watch a little Star Trek TNG. Dr. Crusher puts her career on the line to prove a scientist's theoretical new shielding technology - metaphasic shielding - in the episode Suspicions.
