vrijdag 11 september 2009 Up with alarm... at 5:09. Turn on AM 1090. Left-over scrambled eggs and hashbrowns for breakfast. Bath. Walk over to M Street Grocery to get a few things. They're showing CNN in the cafe. I see the skyline of NYC 8 years ago... smoke rising from the buildings. The images seem to sadden my usually perky clerk.

Drop off stuff. Play with Speedo Junkie for a little bit. Streetcar to work. 10 to 11:30 - Kitchen help. Kim is with the Explorers & Trailblazers educating them on the nutritional values of real fruit compared with Fruit Roll-Ups. Slow and steady progress with the dishes. 11:30 - Hang with the Rainforest Kids on the playground. It's Kaleb's B-day - 2-years-old! 12 - Charmaine's lunch. Nap time for 4 Sea Otters. Evanan fights it a little bit. They're all asleep by 12:15. 1 - Pam's lunch. Ivy wakes up from her nap. She plays around. Try to keep the twins occupied... or they seen to find trouble. 2 - Patty's lunch. Alex wants to go outside right away. I get Caitlin and Alex ready and we trot out to the playground and join the Seahorses. Alex balances a ball on a tube. Nice hand-eye coordination.
3 - Sign out. Streetcar to d'town. Brent calls and makes plans to take me out for breakfast. Yay! Tunafish salad on toast for dinner. Watch movie - Phantom Menace.
