dinsdag 22 februari 2011 Toss and turn all night. My sniffles are bugging me. Turn on Bill Press. Bill's latest column - Governors Declare War on Nurses and Teachers. Rice and chili for breakfast. Switch to Stephanie Miller. One of The Fab 14 - Wisconsin State Senator Kathleen Vinehout (D-Alma) - calls in from an secret place to talk about the importance of keeping collective bargaining rights for Wisconsin public workers. Of course, there's Gadhafi... Libyan leader Moammar Gadhafi vowed defiance in the face of a mounting revolt against his 41-year rule on Tuesday, making a fleeting television appearance to scorn protesters and deny he had fled the country. Someone in the blog says Gadhafi looks like an old Che Guevara in drag.
Walk up Westlake to work. Breaks for Pam, Anne, Cindy and Patty. I experience 15 minutes of terror with the 8 Seahorses while Patty takes her break. It is total chaos. The kids are throwing things and screaming and pushing each other. When Patty comes back, it's Kenn's lunch. It takes 30 more minutes to clean up the classroom and get them outside to run it off. 12 - Cristin's lunch. Only 5 Starfish. We eat lunch and hang out with books. Toni does the diapers. 1 - Toni's lunch. We're still working on naps. Finally, all is quiet. I go on a short break. 2 - Cindy's lunch. Slowly, but surely, the Dolphins wake up from their naps. The kids play with pens and clipboards. Hey! It's a little snowy. Streetcar to d'town. Train up to Uwajimaya. Get some teriyaki chicken and rice. #550 back up to Union. Drop off stuff. Play podcast of Weekday - Osama bin Laden: The Strategist. Steve Scher talks with Michael Scheuer about Osama bin Laden and his book Osama bin Laden. I don't know what to think after this interview. Except, I ask myself, "Are we really REALLY SCREWED YET?"
Watch some Hardball. Roast chicken and rice for dinner. Watch Voyager - Faces.
