The peloton is 10km from the site of the intermediate sprint and the wind is said to be blowing at about 40km/h from the left of the road. At the moment, the peloton has some shelter with trees lining the road but there are stretches where they'll be more exposed to gusts that are strong enough to cause splits in the bunch.
