vrijdag 8 november 2013 Midnight movie - Escape From Planet Earth.
It's a very hyper movie, but I manage to fall back to sleep. So, I don't don't know how it ends. A planet called Baab (Bob)? Restless. Up again at 3:27. Watch France 24. Poor France... and bad news for President François Hollande and his socialist-led government as it tries to turn the economy around. Report - S&P downgrades France’s credit rating. It's also Albert Camus' 100th birthday. A super typhoon is plowing through the Philippines. Haiyan is the world’s strongest storm this year.
Up to 7-Eleven for some coffee. I see some street kids camped out near the WSCTC. Home. Chili on toast for breakfast. Turn on Stephanie Miller. John Fugelsang is guest host. He interviews 20-year-old Zack Kopplin about the fight against teaching Creationism in Louisiana public schools. I haven't heard from him in a while. Still fighting the good fight.
Walk down to the d'town Post Office. Streetcar to work. We're a little short-staffed today. I'm with The Dolphins for a couple hours. Their teacher warns me that the kids are tired. It's true. The girls are rather clingy. We play for a short time on the playground, but they seem relieved to go inside. Diapers, lunch prep, naps. The time change is taking a toll. Their little bodies are still in PDT. Over to Sea Otters. Lunch is already over, and they're going down for naps early, too. Most of them sleep past 2:00... which is 3:00 PDT. Streetcar to Denny. #8 up to B'way. QFC has raised the price of Finlandia. #49 bus to d'town. This bus is always full of young people - from UW and SCCC. Home. Turn on the news. I could see more homeless youth on the streets. Report - Shelter for homeless young adults at base of Capitol Hill set to close. I pass by the JWR every time I take the #8 up to B'way. I'm sorry for those kids. More homeless in Freeway Park... in all the parks.
Chili chicken on chips for dinner. Watch movie - The Avengers.
