Joaquin Oliver, 17, was shot and killed on Feb. 14, 2018, in a hallway outside his creative writing class at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland. We shall remember #TheLostClass.

Picnic day! WTA to the Community Food Co-op to get one of their delicious avocado sandwiches. It's a 25-minute walk from the Co-op to Elizabeth Park. Lots of shade. Cool marine breezes waft by me.

Back to the house to watch a fun, crazy, ridiculous movie on Comet TV - Cowboys Vs. Dinosaurs with the lovely and talented Eric Roberts. After a mine explosion, dinosaurs emerge from the rubble. The monsters terrorize a small western town - Emigrant, MT. Several gunslingers try to Cowboy Up to defend their homes.  B'ham tops out at 75°F. Checking NOAA, it's 73°F at 5 PM. The colors on the map have changed a little since this morning. Will we be spared the extreme heat? I hope, but I doubt it.
