To bed assuming that the Mariners would re-schedule the last game with the Guardians. But nooooo! The teams consult with MLB. With both clubs in playoff contention and not a lot of good travel logistics in the final month of the regular season, the decision is made to wait out the rain. WAIT IT OUT?!!? The game resumes at 8:08 pm. With 11 innings, Mariners beat Guardians 6 to 3. I'll never tire of the Mariners winning. After living in Ohio for 3 years, I'm cheering for my M's! 💙

It's Labor Day. Today, I am celebrating freedom from labor. No employment. Retirement is great! Right? Barbara Ehrenreich, on her tour of low-wage service work: Many people praised me for my bravery for having done this — to which I could only say: Millions of people do this kind of work every day for their entire lives — haven’t you noticed them? Her book Nickel and Dimed, an undercover account of the indignities as a low-wage worker in the U.S., became a best seller and a classic in social justice literature. Barbara died 4 days ago. 😞
