Minneapolis Public Schools (MPS) canceled all in-person classes and activities for the rest of the week, specifically for Thursday, January 8, and Friday, January 9, 2026. The decision was made out of an abundance of caution due to safety concerns following a fatal shooting involving an ICE agent and a subsequent Clash at Roosevelt High School on Wednesday, January 7.
