This is one of my favorite movies... even in 2026. Spider-man goes through a lot of suffering, but he survives... somehow. What's truly evil is this opposive heat wave. An EXTREME HEAT WARNING remains in effect for ALL of Ohio through Thursday at 8 p.m.

Progressing slowly but surely through my book The Fix. Great book! In the chapter about Disinformation Warfare, a paragraph stands out for me. Ordinary people are getting backed into a corner, and they feel a need to take drastic action. We need to abate this disinformation.

According to Shuki Cohen, a psychology professor at John Jay College of Criminal Justice in New York, one of the driving factors behind political violence is nihilism, "just a vague doomsday mentality of burn it all down and go out in a blaze of glory." Cohen said a common trait of political violence is "learned helpless" - a sense that our government is unable to address their concerns, whether that concern is the moral failings of society, changing demographics, wealth disparity, or some other grievance.
