maandag 13 mei 2013 Up with alarm. Watch a little news. Toast and fried egg for breakfast. Monday morning movie - Peaceful Warrior.
Walk up Westlake to work. Hang out with the Dolphins while their teachers take planning time. Free play.
Later, Sharron and I take the kids outside. It spinkles. It rains. It stops. The sun shines. The rain starts again. Hail! We head inside. Get out the play-doh. Over to Sea Otters. Lunches, diapers and naps. It's nice and quiet here and with the Seahorses. The weather gets wild before I leave work. However, I manage to walk all the way home dodging rain drops while listening to The World. I enjoy Ground Control To Commander Christ Hadfield. Anchor, Marco Werman spoke with his unofficial social media manager and his son, Evan Hadfield. Good job on the Space Oddity. Bowie, himself, tweeted his approval.
Black bean soup for dinner. Watch Power Rangers Ninja Storm.

Catch up with Rachel Maddow. Impeach! Impeach! I love how she runs through the various right-wing outlets that began whispering about impeachment nearly as soon as Obama was inaugurated. But it’s not necessarily about something specific, she notes: They like “the idea of impeaching” him. From gay marriage to Fast and Furious, Maddow ran through a laundry list of stories that represented the “Impeach Obama for Something, Anything movement.” Rachel Maddow about the Republican kitchen sink strategy to find any scandal that will taint the Obama administration.
Listen to Hawaii Radio Connection. Watch Star Trek The Next Generation: Cause And Effect and The First Duty.

vrijdag 10 mei 2013 Up with alarm. I don't usually watch TODAY, but it's worth it on this special day. Sunny Seattle. Sunny NYC.
Cheers erupt as spire tops One World Trade Center.
Tortellini carbonara for breakfast. Turn on Stephanie Miller. Matthew Breen - Editor in Chief of The Advocate - joins the gang in the Los Angeles Bureau to talk about the latest LGBT news. A Minnesota House bill legalizing same-sex marriage passed 75-59 with resounding DFL support and the votes of four Republicans. The measure now goes to the Senate on Monday, where its passage is considered likely. Gov. Mark Dayton has said he intends to sign the bill into law. Cool! Walk up to Denny. #62 bus up to Mercer. High energy level with the kids. An hour with the Starfish. Anne and I take the five boys on a walk around campus. Visit Doctor Bob and the waterfalls in the Thomas building. The Sea Otters are outside - on the deck and on the playground. They need the fresh air. Over to Dolphins for lunches, diapers and naps. It takes only 10 minutes to get them all asleep. The story with the Seahorses is different. We have a couple jokers who stay awake. I get to go home early. Catch a nice, air-conditioned #70 bus to d'town. Drop off stuff. Take a little walk to Westlake. Admire the orchids near my building.
Sit for a little while in Westlake Park. A guy is playing the blues and soul on his saxophone. The pigeons chose to occupy the tree on the right.
Back to my place. Watch KOMO News. Seattle - the home of the stupidest drivers in the world. Today, a man drives over his own sister TWICE killing her and 'The next thing I remember is waking up in the ambulance'
Switch to The Cycle. Uff da. The 38th vote to repeal Obamacare? The GOP tea baggers in Congress are out of their freaking minds. I'm frustrated like Ari.
"It's irresponsible!" says Ari Melber. I say, "You're despicable." Legislators, do your jobs!
To abate my political frustrations, I watch The Best Of Bugs Bunny on YouTube. What's up, Doc?
Fish and chips for dinner. Watch documentary - National Geographic: Evacuate Earth. If a neutron star came barrelling toward Earth – threatening the survival of man and the planet itself – what would mankind do? Eek! Here it comes!

donderdag 9 mei 2013 Up at 4:40. Thyme Lord! So good they'll make your taste buds shout GERONIMO!
Watch KOMO News. Macklemore and Ryan Lewis make history with chart-topping song. Yay!
Can't Hold Us - a song Mackmore and Lewis performed with Seattleite Ray Dalton on Saturday Night Live - moved from No. 2 to the top spot this week. Orange chicken and rice for breakfast. Turn on Stephanie Miller. Karl Frisch of Bullfight Strategies talks to Steph about the results of yesterday’s Benghazi witch hunt on Capitol Hill. Benghaziiiiiiiiiiiiii.
Walk up Westlake to work. Busy day with the kids. I don't like it when the Seahorses get pent up in the Bike Room. Too much energy. The Sea Otters are bouncing off the walls, too, I see. But I go visit the Dolphins for a while. They're really learning how to take care of themselves. Naps are very easy. Sea Otters have a magical nap time, too. Walk up to Whole Foods to pick up a few things. Drop off stuff at home. Try my walk around the 'hood... hopefully without watching a horrible accident. I say 'hi' to the Zico Judo dude.
Zico - Natural Oomph From Coconuts. Whatever. Back to my place. Watch Colbert. Yes, Steve! Turn your back on South Carolina.
Watch Power Rangers Ninja Storm - Return Of Thunder. Permanently banished by Lothor under threat of death, Choobo takes out his displeasure on the Thunder Rangers. Brothers to the last breath - Hunter and Blake. The Thunder Rangers contemplate their final destiny.
Cod and potatoes for dinner. Do I dare? Hercules for dessert? Watch movie - Son of Hercules vs Medusa. Again?

woensdag 8 mei 2013
woensdag 8 mei 2013 Up at 2:52. I love the Saul Bass Google Doodle.
Watch MST3K - Lost Continent. Joel refuses to go into the theater and gets a shock to the shammies.
Fried egg sandwich for breakfast. Watch KOMO News. Report - Mayor Announces 'Weapons to Words' Program. Seattle’s gun buyback program earlier this year took 750 weapons out of circulation. Mayor Mike McGinn is determined to put those firearms to peaceful purposes.
Turn on Stephanie Miller. Of course, they talk about Cleveland. After three women who vanished a decade ago were found captive Monday at a peeling, rundown house, Cleveland police are facing questions about their handling of missing-person cases and are conducting an internal review to see if they overlooked anything. I'm having flashbacks to those days when I lived in Cleveland - Collinwood, Lakewood, Shaker Heights.
Walk up Westlake to Denny. Lucky to catch a #62 bus up to Mercer. Running a little late. Nice potluck for Misti's last day. I'm with the Sea Otters. We get the puzzles down. They seem good about sharing the puzzles but not about sharing me... Mike. The clouds never burn off this morning, yet the kids are wearing sunscreen. Lots of it. The kids seem a bit frantic. I need to watch them all the time so that they don't get into trouble. It's a relief when my break shows up. I join them for a rather leisurely lunch. I love their chat. Over to Seahorses for nap time. Better today than yesterday. Finally, back to Sea Otters. They're good little nappers. Streetcar to d'town. Drop off stuff. Beautiful day for a walk. It's nice until... BOOM! A van runs a red light and slams right into a #47 bus. Pike & Boren. One of the most dangerous intersections in Seattle. (Scares the crap out of me sometimes.) It's on the news.
More news. MSNBC can't brighten my day... and I wouldn't dare let them. Nevertheless, the details from Cleveland leave me chilled. Reverend Al Sharpton.
I can't get over that accident at Pike and Boren. That van smacked right into that bus. Head on. People rushed in to help while I'm numb and stunned. People even put on gloves to help out the injured. Report - Three injured when van, Metro bus collide in Seattle.

Burrito for breakfast. Turn on Stephanie Miller. Ken from Cleveland calls into the show to talk about the emerging details about the home where the missing women were held. Walk up Westlake to work. Cranky kids today. Meltdowns everywhere I go. Geez. Naps are also a struggle. It's a relief to leave work. Turn on NPR News on my radio for my walk. From The World - Belgian Town Awash with Stolen Cash: What Would You Do? From the Nieuwsblad - Zedelgemse graaiers weigeren geld terug te geven. This is straight from the mayor of Zedelgem.
I wonder what I would do. Take a #8 up Denny to B'way. Nice day for skateboarding on Broadway.
Watch KOMO News. Watch some news... But I cannot believe that I am watching My Fair Lady after some black bean soup. Watch movie - My Fair Lady. Aow. Wouldn't it be loverly?
