A groovy, mellow, hip ski bum gets bitten by a bat and visits a groovy, mellow, hip ski bum doctor, and proceeds to get a series of groovy, mellow, hip, excruciatingly painful stomach injections for rabies which does absolutely nothing except harsh his buzz. My midnight movie - MST3K: It Lives By Night. I sleep for a while after the movie... 136 minutes to be exact. Salmon and avocado omelet for breakfast. Justin Bieber. Très amusant! Merci, Justin. It's 56° and mostly cloudy for my walk to work. I hear Fences - Arrows on the radio again. Just escape! I'm in the Infant Room for a couple hours to cover for a meeting and a lunch break. They hardly need a thing. Just a couple diaper changes. Over to Dolphins. I love how they greet me with smiles. Lunchtime is already over, so they're going down for naps... easily. One wakes up, and he just lays with me in the rocking chair for another 30 minutes. Upstairs to the Sunshine Kids. These kids are tired, and they sleep until 3. Michael is waiting for me outside. We drive to First Hill and park. Walk down to The Cheesecake Factory.

I like my vodka & tonic and the shrimp & bacon club sandwich. Happy Birthday to me! Michael devours a Glamburger. Walk with Michael through the Tableau Conference up to First Hill. maandag 8 september 2014 Fall back to sleep after turning off the alarm. Just lay in bed listening to a repeat show of Stephanie Miller. When is she coming back? Fried egg sandwich for breakfast. It's cloudy and 56° for my walk to work. I'm with the Sea Otters for a couple of hours. Green and red paint parties. The kids fall to pieces soon after. Lots of crying. It's a Monday. Some eat their lunch, but most of them want to go to their mats. Upstairs to the Sunshine Kids. Such a small group. Only 4 of them. After lunch, we change diapers. They lay down on their mats and put themselves to sleep. Down to infants to help. Catch the streetcar at 3:03. Perfect! Stop at Denny. Who is this dude and what is he doing?

Take the #8 bus up to Broadway. It's packed.

Bus #60 to Pike and I walk down to my place. Watch KING 5 News. New bike lanes on 2nd Avenue in Seattle debuted Sept. 8, 2014.

It's fun to watch Wizards Of Waverly Place. Justin is a musician and wants to battle robots in games of chess. Alex wants to be a drummer. Max wants to be a magician in Make It Happen.

zondag 7 september 2014 Midnight movie - Superman Returns. The jet rescue gets me every time. Finally, I conk out. Nice to sleep long. Up at 8:23. Spaghetti carbonara for breakfast. Need to catch up with The Fosters. At some point, every episode makes me weep. It's Stef and Lena's wedding that makes me bawl like a baby.

Lexi is going to Honduras. Brandon kisses Callie which freaks Jude out. But the wedding is amazing. Callie goes with Wyatt to Indiana. What? Callie! The West is the Best! I need some fresh air after all that drama. I heard somebody say it... Seattle is called the Emerald City. It should be called The Sapphire City. With our crystal blue skies... Why not?

Next Wizards Of Waverly Place - Harper Knows. The Russo family is assigned to a popular convention - PopCon - to be on the lookout for rogue wizards who use magic to stir up trouble. Oh those crazy kids!

Walk through the Denny Triangle to Whole Foods to get some breakfast and chips. Some Husky fans are shopping for party goodies, I see. Huskies can’t take Eastern Washington lightly. Kickoff at Noon. It's clear and sunny... already 67° for my morning walk. Back to my place. Watch KING 5 News. This concerns me. Seattle police respond to spike in crime on Capitol Hill. Aggravated assaults and robberies have jumped to 173 in 2014. HELP!

The Lost Lake Cafe is open 24 hours a day. But it was in the middle of the afternoon last weekend that a group of unruly customers attacked a waiter. Scrambled eggs, bacon, potatoes and sauerkraut for breakfast. Trip down to Uwajimaya. (I forgot the eggs.) The sun beckons, "Come outside, Mike." Pick up some wasabi almonds, too. Turn on the University Of Washington Huskies-Eastern Washington Eagles game on KOMO radio. I'm waiting for the train. The Huskies get a touch down in just minutes from the start. I want to go WOOHOO! but I restrain myself. No radio in the transit tunnel. During the 7-minute trip to d'town, they get another TD! Then another another! UW 21 - 0 EWU.  3 TDs in 28 minutes!

Finally, it's done! UW 59 - 52 EWU. 3:43 PDT! Almost 4 hours of playing. How can they do it? Whew! Huskies hold off Eagles in wild 59-52 win. Let me put it this way... Coconuts! Monty Python And The Holy Grail.

Dennis: Ah, now we see the violence inherent in the system! He's already got one... Il a déjà obtenu un! Regardez... French taunting!

Sunshine and 63° degrees for my walk to work. I feel weird wearing long jeans today. I'm in the Infant Room all day between the Ducklings and Turtles. Three people are out. A new dad is chatting with his wife on his cellphone... "Oh, the kids seem happy... Chewing and sucking on toys." The kids seem happy-sad-happy-sad. Lots of guessing about what they need. Naps and feedings are easy. So glad to leave. My back is really achy. Streetcar to d'town. Rush hour seems early and thick. Great front page.
