Quite a few shirtless runners. Many cool views. The azaleas are blooming already. When I get back to my place, I turn on Rick Steves' program. He interviews Jane and Michael Stern about their food findings across America. Man! I am drooling! Short walk up to B'way. Not much goin' on. Back to my place. Watch Caprica - Know Thy Enemy.

Short walk on First Hill. Finish coffee at my place. Listen to more Stephanie Miller. Walk up Westlake to work. Visit the Rainforest Kids in the Bike Room before I go on duty. Andy makes a protective structure for Marina. I admire Andy's architectural skills. I head outside to do some breaks. Everyone seems to be enjoying this beautiful weather... especially me and the kids. 11 - Charmaine's lunch. Four Sea Otters on the playground. They seem a little tired, so we take them in early. They have a little free-play. Ryan amazes me! He tries for more than 20 minutes to build a tour with 20 log blocks. He seems determined to use all 20. It keeps falling over at every attempt, but he's learning at each attempt, but Ryan keeps trying. When he gets them all up - at last - I shout for joy, "YOU DID IT!" He had a goal and he achieved it! I appreciate his determination. For sure. 12 - Kenn's lunch. Austin gives me this playful defiance at nap time. So, Pam gets him to sleep. 1 - Patty's lunch. Four Sea Otters sleep soundly. 2 - Jessica's lunch. Pam leaves early and Jessica takes over. So, it's you break. Nolan wakes up sad. Kenn takes him and Austin to the Bike Room. I replace him around 2:30. This has been a wonderful day at work. I see when I leave that the rest of the day has possibilities. Walk down Westlake to my place. Change clothes. The Scottish cyclist Mark Beaumont has just completed his epic thirteen thousand mile journey from Alaska near the top of North America to Argentina at the bottom of South America. Two fried eggs on rice for breakfast. Switch to Stephanie Miller. They mock a Senator from Bakersfield, CA - Roy Ashburn. Sen. Roy Ashburn Arrested For DUI... but it was going home from a Gay bar in Sacramento. What's this anti-gay senator doing in a GAY bar? It takes a while to get hot water for a shower. Visit Paris via Google Earth. The Louxor Hotel - where I once stayed - is now Hôtel L'Annexe. Hover above Centre Georges Pompidou. Walk up to Whole Foods. Get some chick pea salad. We eventually head inside for lunch. 12 - Pam's lunch. Five Dolphins finish lunch. Kenn and I let them play a while. It's too soon for naps. 1 - Olivia's lunch. Six Seahorses sleep. Sara rolls into a toy cupboard and wakes up. I get her back on her map. She signs "Thank you" to me before she falls back to sleep. How sweet! 2 - Patty's lunch. Six Sea Otters sleep. Fall back into a light sleep. Fried egg and chicken fried rice for breakfast. Turn on Stephanie Miller. Hal Sparks calls the show all the way from Taiwan. People are having a delightful time with Photoshop, imagining Hal and Steph together. Sen. Jim Bunning (R-KY) agreed to a deal Tuesday night to end a budget standoff, which caused federal furloughs and threatened the unemployment benefits of hundreds of thousands of people. The Kentucky senator had said he was concerned that the $10 billion measure’s cost was not offset. So, they talk a lot about the ass-hat behavior of this certain Republican Senator. When George Bush took a $236 billion surplus and turned into a $1.3 trillion deficit, Jim Bunning voted with him again and again. Take some Thai tea on my walk. 10 to 11 - Open Space. Hang out with 6 Sea Otters. Mellow morning with them. 11 - Kris' lunch. Bring 6 Seahorses in from the playground to the classroom. Christen set up lunches. Olivia and I read lots of books with them individually and as a group. 12 - Olivia's lunch. I clean up the lunch mess while Kris does diapers. 1 - Kenn's lunch. He's still subbing for Theresa. Five Dolphins are sleeping. Wyatt - next door - hears a noise and wakes up crying... and that wakes up some of the Dolphins. 2 - Kitchen help. I just need to pick up some laundry and deliver the afternoon snack. Walk straight down Westlake to my place. Turn on Radio Netherlands Worldwide. I like their program - Curious Orange.
