woensdag 2 december 2009 Up at 4:40. Turn on BBC News. Obama Speech: Reaction. Switch to Stephanie Miller. She plays this audio tape from Tiger Woods to a woman. Ooooooh! This thing seems rather seemly. Rep. Jan Schakowsky (D-IL) calls in to talk about Obama’s Afghanistan speech, and about health care reform. The Afghanistan thing is going to distract the Senate from the health care thing. Rice and h-b egg for breakfast. Bath. Drop by Kaladi for wi-fi and a chamomile tea. Back to my place for more Stephanie Miller. They say that Hal Sparks is taking his shirt off in front of the Skype camera. Streetcar to work. Interesting schedule. Lydia and I cover for Patty's and Charmaine's planning time. We take the kids down to the Bike Room. They notice the new tunnel.
After that, they grab the bikes.
Let the races begin!
More fun in the tunnel.
Patty comes back. We head back to the classroom. I set up lunches while Patty reads books and does songs. Over to Starfish to do Anne's lunch. The Starfish are fairly self-sufficient. When lunch is over, they wash their hands and lay on their mats and fall asleep. 1 - Up to Rainforest kids for Margot's lunch. Andy tells me that a lot of kids are sick. Yikes. They're worn out and sleep. 2 - Over to Moons & Stars. They went out on a field trip, and they should be tired. But a few of them are antsy and don't nap. Walk up Terry to my place. Quick tunafish sandwich and salad. Wander down to 801 Caffe Ladro for their wi-fi and a short decaf Americano. Stop by Barnes & Noble. I notice the cover of Time. The '00s: Goodbye (at Last) to the Decade from Hell.
Streetcar back to work for an all-staff meeting. Misti does a great training on interpersonal communication. She does a food analogy about expressing emotion. Then we have team meetings. Mike drives a few of us home. I mess with the modem and router and I got a connection. (Use it while I got it!) Bath to relax. Turn on KUOW and listen to Howard Zinn about The Three Holy Wars. "War poisons people's minds." Yeah, and we should stop wars. War after war after war. Howard catches my ear. Thank you, Howard.
