dinsdag 9 maart 2010 Restless night with weird dreams about losing things and getting lost in a strange city. Up at 3:07. Turn on BBC News. Listen to The Book Club. The club talks with author John Boyne about his novel - The Boy In The Striped Pajamas. Fascinating.
There's hot water! Take a shower right away! Hummus on toast for breakfast. Turn on Stephanie Miller. They comment on Obama's Health Care Push: 'Knock On Doors, Talk To Your Neighbors, Pick Up The Phone' He's in campaign mode. He's all fired up. Walk d'town to mail my Comcast bill. Brrrr. It's freezing... 29° to be exact. Down to 108 Union Street Caffe Ladro for some coffee. Pike Place is setting up. Walk up Pike back to my place. Listen to more Stephanie Miller. I love the Crist/Rubio kerfuffle. Crist: Rubio May Wax His Back, Charge It To Florida. HA! And I thought that he was butch!
Walk up Westlake to work. 10 to 10:45 - Open space. I chose to hang out with 13 Moons & Stars on the Big Playground. Henny decides to make a container ship. Creative idea... to which more want to contribute.
You know... Things get a little out-of-hand with the Container Ship. Too many skippers sink the ship. 10:45 to 11:45 - Lunch set-up for Dolphins and Sea Otters. Then I go upstairs to partake in the Taco Bar. I love the guacamole dip. All is good. 12 - Pam's lunch. Kathy covers for Teresa. Naps work out somehow. Will it unravel somehow? No, it works. 1 - Kenn's lunch. Six Sea Otters go down for naps. Wyatt is coughing in his sleep. Rough for him. 2 - Patty's lunch. Caitlin and Wyatt won't sleep. I take them down to the Bike Room. Walk down Whole Foods. Get some Tandoori Chicken from the hot bar, Meuster cheese and a little salad bar. Get get my copy of Capitalism: A Love Story from Barnes & Noble. At my place, I watch 10 chapters... But I have to back to work for a meeting. The meeting - for STARS credit - about Special Education and evaluation of disabilities. After the meeting, I miss the streetcar by a second... "Wait, wait!" Fuck! So, I walk home. Back at my place, I watch Moore of the movie. I'm from Cleveland... and I had to laugh with the comedic truth of this...
But... Just a little reminder... We have a huge mess to deal with. And there seem to be powers way out of our control to deal with. A security guard - escorting Michael Moore away from Wall Street - seems to tight-lipped... understanding a little about what they stole. I feel - from that expression - that we have real problems.
With a heavy heart, I hope that I can rest well in sleep. I doubt it.
