woensdag 15 mei 2013

woensdag 15 mei 2013 Up with alarm. Rice and fried egg for breakfast. Turn on Stephanie Miller. One of their bumps, they play Puttin' On The Ritz, and Jim does his...
"puhtinondaritz!"
That spoils me to watch Young Frankenstein... complete with top hats and tails. Walk up Westlake to work. Busy day with the Sea Otters while their teachers take planning time. We start the morning with painting. Orange and purple paint on white paper. Coats or no coats. "No coats!" We share our playground time with the Dolphins and a couple of Turtles. One of my kids walks up and asks, "Who dat?" We are curious a big, fancy Prevost bus. Is there someone famous in there? We have a little water break circle. Inside for lunchtime. The kids chose to get goofy after lunchtime instead of during lunchtime. Over to Seahorses. All go down easily for naps... except one. Over to Sea Otters. They're all asleep. A teacher is tearing old strapping tape off the cabinets. It's the worst sound in the world for me. I'm amazed that the kids can sleep through that noise. Streetcar to d'town. Encounter a hoard of High School Kids from Olympia. They're looking for the way to the bus tunnel, so I guide them. It's starting to sprinkle a little on my walk around d'town. I hear on KOMO News Radio:

NBA owners deny Sacramento Kings' move to Seattle.

Bummer! Seattle SupersSonics fan Jason Barker, left, watches KOMO News' coverage in Seattle as NBA Commissioner David Stern announces NBA basketball owners voted Wednesday, May 15, 2013, to reject the Sacramento Kings' proposed move to Seattle. (AP Photo/Ted S. Warren) News of a nicer kind... This IS way cool! St. Paul Mayor Chris Coleman announced the renaming of the Wabasha Bridge to "Freedom to Marry Bridge" for the week. Rainbow flags have been placed along the length of the bridge on both sides. Congratulations, Minnesota. Rice, tofu and stir fried veggies for dinner. Watch MSNBC. Chris Hayes does a spot about Geoguessr in tonight's Click 3.
