zaterdag 10 mei 2025 Midnight movie: Wil - a 2023 Belgian-Dutch-Polish film. Wilfried Wils (Wil) is played by Stef Aerts. He is an auxiliary police officer in Antwerp at the outbreak of World War II. It is a time of mistrust. Wil does what he can to avoid trouble. He seems to trust his anti-Nazi colleague Lode played by Mateo Simoni.

May 8, 2025, marks the 80th anniversary of V-E Day, the day when the Allies accepted Nazi Germany's unconditional surrender, effectively ending World War II in Europe. Eighty years ago, the nightmare ended. Needless to say, my sleep was restless after watching that movie.
