dinsdag 30 november 2010 Up at 2:31. Turn on BBC News. Report - According to classified US diplomatic cables leaked by Wikileaks: China 'Frustrated' By North Korea and Pyongyang was behaving like a "spoiled child". I doze back to sleep for a couple hours. Burrito for breakfast. Turn on Stephanie Miller. They talk about the Wikileaks situation. There is speculation that the guy who released the leaks - Private Bradley Manning - was teased in the military.

Report - Red County Wingnuts Attribute Wikileaks To Private Manning’s Homosexuality. The Guardian does a more objective Expose On Bradley Mannings' Experience In The US Army. Shower. Walk up to work while listening to KUOW on my radio. The subject on Weekday is China, Foreign Policy, And Our Economy. My shoes get pretty wet from the rain. 10 to 12 - Planning time for Pam. Jenny covers for Anne. It's a stay-inside-rainy-free-play day for the 7 Sea Otters. I see that some of them are good with puzzles. 12 - Up to Sunshine Kids for Kechelle's lunch break. I eat my lunch with the 3 kids. Easy-going hour. 1 - Down to Seahorses for Amanda's lunch. Struggle with a few kids at nap time. 2 - Kenn's lunch. Things finally settle down. D'town on foot. Catch a crowded #10 up to Capitol Hill. Walk around a little in the rain. Down Pike to my place. Turn on KOMO News. I don't pay much attention to it except for the weather. I bet some ducks had fun in the puddles today.

Switch to MSNBC. Oh! I love the Catamaran With A Thousand Solar Panels. Pretty. It looks like a space ship from Star Trek.

I like Chris Matthews' bit about Do Tell, Don't Mind. "The Republicans are not the party of inclusion!" I shout out loud. So disillusioned - the Log Cabin Republicans.

Switch gears... a little... Watch The Outer Limits - A Special Edition. Alien clones are taking over the world.

maandag 29 november 2010

maandag 29 november 2010 Restless night. Strange dreams. Turn on Bill Press on KPTK. Toast and tofu - TNT - for breakfast. Turn on Stephanie Miller. She complains a little that 2010 was a sucky year... but at least we saw a conviction in the Tom DeLay case. Whaw! Whaw! Poor Tom Delay. "This is an abuse of power. It's a miscarriage of justice," DeLay told reporters. "I still maintain that I am innocent, that the criminalization of politics undermines our very system, and I'm very disappointed in the outcome." Oh! John McCain again. He's such an old man. They discuss his comments about DADT.

Steph also shares a couple juicy hate letters with us. Drop off DVDs at Blockbuster. Back to my place for a shower. ATM some cash. Streetcar to work. They interview the musician Jimmy Gnecco about his new solo album The Heart.
He plays Mystery. Watch some MSNBC news and vids from Crooks And Liars. The bailout plan for Ireland seems really "against" Ireland. Finance spokesman Michael Noonan says, "People are right to feel frightened, and worried about the future, when our own government has sold out the country on such lousy terms."

Watch Stargate SG-1: Bad Guys.

zondag 28 november 2010

zondag 28 november 2010 Wake up at 2:34. Play a Jean-Claude Van Damme movie - Desert Heat. With regular Jean-Claude Van Damme movies I expect a movie with no plot and pointless action, but Desert Heat was a hysterical action packed adventures of Eddie Lomax - loner, ex-Army, kick boxer and stud. He cracks a few good jokes. I notice a few Star Trek The Next Generation second-rate actors appears in this film. Lots of guns.

A little more sleep. Up again at 7:30. Tofu and coleslaw for breakfast. Man! I have a lot of fried tofu. I can't eat it all. Watch some YouTube vids. Music by Shayne Wade. Gotta Be Somebody.

I like Ask Shane, too. Cool Sponge Bob Square Pants jammies. Hey, Shane. You are like Sponge Bob. For you, life is a journey. It's funny for the most part. And everyone loves you.

Turn on A Prairie Home Companion. They do their Thanksgiving show from the 10th Most Walkable City In The USA - Cincinnati. I am very impressed with the youthful and prodigious cutting edge Bluegrass band- The Punch Brothers. Antifogmatic sounds like a winner. They sing This Is The Song (Good Luck).

The Royal Academy of Radio Actors do some skits with Paula Poundstone. Good show, Garrison Keillor. He does an interview with Walter Mondale, discussing issues and politics. Thank you, Minnesota Public Radio. Watch Star Trek The Next Generation - The Bonding. It's a very touching story about losing parents, the grieving process and forgiveness.

An away team performing a scientific investigation of a deserted planet once inhabited by a race called the Koinonians accidentally triggers an ancient mine, and ship's archaeologist Lt. Maria Aster is killed. Sadly, Aster has a 12 year old son, Jeremy Aster.

Next Stargate SG-1. The Broca Divide. Then Shades Of Grey. Spaghetti and chicken for dinner. Watch movie - Goldmember.

zaterdag 27 november 2010

zaterdag 27 november 2010 Up at 7:38. Turn on KEXP to listen to FAIR. This is fun... "What Planet Are Deficit Hawks Living On?" Robert Kuttner talks about the deficit obsession and David Swanson says "War Is A Lie!" It always was a lie; and now-a-days, it's a constant lie. Sloppy Joe for breakfast. Shower. Listen to Wait, Wait. It's a repeat. But they ask an interesting question: What state celebrated Thanksgiving Day first? Massachusetts, Florida, Virginia or All-Of-The-Above? I got it! All-Of-The-Above! Walk up to Cal Anderson Park. Footballers knocking it around. Visit Blockbuster to pick up some movies. Drop off stuff. Up to Whole Foods. Yay! They have anchovies! Need toilet paper, too... salad bar and chips. Back to my place. Play movie with the lovely and talented Gary Sinise - Mission To Mars. Wow. A sentient tornado that rips a person apart. That's cruel. Mars.

Then - The Outer Limits: Out Of The Woodwork. The howl of this energetic monster creeps me to this today. The characters are desperate. "Go? Where?"
Kassia... Leonora! Where's my drink?
Tofu and coleslaw for dinner. Watch movie - Superman Returns.

vrijdag 26 november 2010

vrijdag 26 november 2010 Up at 7:00. Watch CNN. Rice noodles and an egg for breakfast. Shower. Watch Supernatural - Time Is On My Side on TNT. This is a really gross episode. Blood, guts, terror and torture.

Walk up Capitol Hill to Cal Anderson Park. The snow has melted away. Back to #404. Watch movie - Impostor. Gary Sinese plays a brilliant scientist in the year 2079 who is arrested by the government on suspicion of being a replicant created by the hostile alien race. This film really has a feeling of Philip K. Dick... where the military runs the world, mechanical implants tracking your movements and war.

I like the little twist at the end of the film where both he and his wife are both alien replicants. His eyes turn black before he turns into a nuclear explosion. I can't seem to find Mission To Mars (another with Gary Sinise). Next movie - Pineapple Express. What a wacky movie.

Out of #404. Back to my place. For the first time, I rent a movie on my iPad - The Fifth Element. I takes a while to download it. I love the blue diva.

It's finally above freezing. 33 at 10:38. Back at the apartment, I turn on Man Vs Food on the Travel Channel. Adam Feasts In Seattle! Yay! He visits Red Mill Burgers with the multi-tiered burgers.

Amazing scene at the Crab Pot on the waterfront. I've never been there. They serve crab, lobster, mussels, oysters and fish with red potatoes and corn on the cob in huge aluminum bowls. Yummy!
Watch movie - Star Trek (2009). We should call it The Wrath Of Nero.

Nero is the captain of the mining vessel Narada. Following the destruction of Romulus, Nero sought vengeance against those whom he held responsible, accidentally being transported to an alternate 23rd century and further creating an alternate reality.

Kirk: "Stardate 2258.42... four uh, whatever. Acting Captain Spock has marooned me on Delta Vega, an act which I believe is a violation of Starfleet Regulation 40.49 regarding the treatment of prisoners on-board a starship."

I can't believe that Kirk could climb out of that ice hole with his bare hands. Next, I play BBC - Planet Earth: The Future. Understanding the conservation issues surrounding some of the species and environments featured in Planet Earth.

Watch movie - Rocky IV - in HD.

Wednesday, November 24, 2010

Yeah, sure. Wear a joy buzzer until your kilt. Walk up Westlake to work. The Dolphins need coverage, so Michelle and I manage. We get out sensory bins of flour. Then, we go out into the frozen tundra... The deck. The kids like to watch me throw snowballs. I change diapers while Michelle sets up lunches. The lunches end quickly. They go down for naps soon. Michelle takes her lunch break while. Quiet time while I clean up the lunch mess. The kids wake up one-by-one. Michelle does another round of diapers. Streetcar to d'town. I'm listening to The World on the way. Catch a #11 up to Cal Anderson Park. I get to play a little in the snow... still listening to my program.

I like the report from Bogata about Food As Fine Art. Glad to get out the cold into the 76 degreeness of #404. Watch some MSNBC. Watch The Outer Limits - Heart's Desire. a visitor from another world takes over the body of a human preacher. He gives four outlaws a special energy power, which they can use to destroy anything they wish as long as they "want it more than anything else." Jake Miller - Casper Van Dien - is the only one to opt out of The Power, and he lives. "Do you understand? I don't want The Power!"

Sad story about a High School football player who suffers from brain trauma.
Switch to KING 5. Talk about the school closings. I check our school. We're closed, too. Yay! Bratwurst, two fried eggs and some left-over burrito for breakfast. KIRO News shows the light traffic.
Shower. Watch Supernatural - Mystery Spot. Dean dies many, many times. Poor Sam who has to watch him die at least 100 times. Walk down to Whole Foods to pick up some Tandoori Chicken, coconut rice and salad bar. Brrr. I hear on the radio that it's 24.0 °F Listen to The Conversation. They talk about Seattle Snowpocalypse 2010. Yep. We live in a region that's paralyzed by three inches of snow. Why is that? People call in to swap stories about their commute stories. Who are the heroes of the weather emergency? Is today a happy accident, an irritating inconvenience, or a hardship? Are you ignoring the weather and going about your regular business? This looks like the usual sled ride down Denny Way on Capitol Hill.
Drag my stuff to my apartment. Balance the check book. Back over to #404. Warm up with France 24. The Culture Report has a little report about how musicians are using iPhone apps to make music. While Atomic Tom was touring NYC, their instruments were stolen. So, they improvised this concert on the subway using their iPhones. Cool! Play - Atomic Tom - Take Me Out.

Watch movie - Showboy. Christian Taylor is a smart, quiet guy without much talent, but he tries to find his niche in Las Vegas. He's a gay character who is inoffensive without being bland, and sexy without being salacious. He gets knocked down but he never quits.

How Reagan Republicans and Clinton Democrats Enriched Wall Street While Mugging Main Street. He explains the reasons why we’re threatened with a possible 'nother steep decline, or we're threatened with a decade of Japanese-type stagnation. And the reason is because we now, taxpayers, are holding, you know, trillions of dollars of this stuff, these toxic investments. Check out HuffPo. It's all about the economy. I still have the feeling that we're in a lot of F*&king trouble.

Warren Buffet says that We Should Be Paying More In Taxes. We're so in trouble. I pack a grocery bag full of stuff and head up to #404. I call mom about my cat sitting gig. Wow! The cat litter really needs cleaning. I'm watching Boogeyman 2 while chatting with her. I'm making it a Brad Rowe movie festival. I start with Shelter. Makes me cry every time.

I left you heartbroken, but not until those very words were spoken. Has anybody ever made such a fool out of you. It's hard to believe it. Even as my eyes do see it. The very things that make you live are killing you. Listen when all of this around us'll fall over. I tell you what we're gonna do. You will shelter me my love. I will shelter you.

Next film - Billy's Hollywood Screen Kiss. Brad Rowe plays Gabriel, a coffee guy and aspiring musician who is probably straight but possibly gay or at least curious.

A guy phones in from Lynchburg, TN and comments about Jack Daniel's. I find a Whataya Want From Me at I Heart Radio vid. I like the piano and drums in this... as well as Adam's performance. (Of course!)

Watch Lost In Space - The Phantom Family. The crew of the Jupiter 2 are being attacked by an alien named Lemnoc, who has set up a base of operations in a nearby cave. Lemnoc comes from a dying planet where the people have lost the will to survive.

I discover my favorite Millers - Jacob and Joshua - in my photos. I wonder where they are now.
Pasta and Swedish balls for dinner. Watch Star The Next Generation - The Outrageous Okona. The Enterprise-D crew rescue a roguish freighter captain whose ship is malfunctioning, but his presence drags them into an interplanetary feud.

vrijdag 19 november 2010

vrijdag 19 november 2010 Up at 4:56. Turn on France 24. Report - ‘Withdraw Your Forces,’ al Qaeda Warns France. Of course, France is rejecting the demands from al Qaeda. Abdelmalek Droukdel likes green turbans.

The Turks were recruited to remake West Germany many years ago. After all these years, they realize that Turkey is paradise while Germany is getting more socially, morally, and economically regressive. Wow. The bus tunnel is crowded. I want to go the Uwajimaya to get some onion tofu and pineapple shrimp. Train back to my place. While walking back to my place, my health is once again imperiled. I am a pedestrian crossing 8th and Pike. Some jerk in a white SUV cuts me off while he crosses the red light. I was almost killed. But I hardly have an adrenalin rush. I'm getting used to being almost murdered by Seattle traffic. Watch The Week In Africa. Then I want to catch up with my YouTube extravaganza of Adam Lambert. Adam Lambert performs Born To Be Wild. Standing ovation! "Fortune rewards the brave, and you are one of the bravest!" says Paula.
