donderdag 29 november 2012

donderdag 29 november 2012 Merry Christmas Everyone! Midnight movie - Pee-Wee's Christmas Special. Annete Funicello with green teeth? Whoopie Goldberg begging for work? Dinah Shore giddily singing without realizing she is annoying everyone? Pee-Wee and a group of Marines in a dance number? It's all good.
I don't really make it through to Dinah Shore when I doze off. Up with alarm. Some people in our country are waking up richer... But not me. KOMO News - 2 lucky winners for record Powerball jackpot.
Left-over Swimming Rama and tomato soup for breakfast. Turn on Stephanie Miller, but the gang is getting too silly for me, so I watch RT - The Keiser Report. It's the second part of the report which interests me. Max Keiser talks to professor and author Andrew Ross about the ‘angel capitalists’ striking debt across America. Ross talks about a coalition of Occupy groups looking to build popular resistance to all forms of debt imposed on us by the banks called Strike Debt and The Rolling Jubilee. Check it out. Streetcar to work. Spend some time with the Seahorses. We're in the Bike Room when we get a fire drill. We head out the back to the playground. When it's all over, we go back... But Coach Jay appears for soccer time. The kids are good sports about moving to the classroom. We sit and draw with our markers and stencils. This is mine! My friend Ed helps, too.
Later, we settle down and read books. This is a new favorite - The Construction Crew by Lynn Meltzer. This old building's ready to fall. What do we need? A wrecking ball. I need to read it twice.
Over to Sea Otters. Lunchtime is serious for 5 minutes, then the kids get into their various silly antics. Naps are a little difficult... not very. Back to Seahorses. They are sleeping. Nice and quiet. Walk up to Queen Anne. Get some things at Met Market. RapidRide bus to Virginia. Walk the rest of the way up to my place. I'm so curious about the Romney - Obama lunchtime that I go to NBC News right away.
Visit NBCNews.com for breaking news, world news, and news about the economy
This is the first time to watch The Cycle. I love how the gang speculate on the conversation for the two rivals. Touré's menu...

woensdag 28 november 2012

woensdag 28 november 2012 Up at 4:22. Watch KOMO News. Seattle City Council member Tim Burgess has announced his decision to run for Seattle mayor. Mmmmm. I don't know about him. What about you, Mayor Mike McGinn? Turkey, grave, rice and hot hot tomato soup. Turn on Stephanie Miller. "Salvation Army - no longer a sponsor." Charity Navigator can help. My little PowerBall ticket sparks my imagination. I would love to travel and visit interesting places. Play with Google Earth and visit Helsinki. What a beautiful city. Wander into Paasivuori Park and find a sculpture by Johannes Haapasalo entitled “the Boxers” dating from 1932.
A hot spot, I'm sure, on a cold winter's night. Walk up Westlake to work. I visit the empty Moons & Stars classroom. Interesting, this.
It's a balance filled with fruit-veggie pouch caps. Creative idea. These pouches are very popular for lunch. And the caps are very colorful. Patty gets planning time. The Sea Otters get early playground time, and we run on the deck for a little bit. Back inside, the kids play with plastic nuts & bolts.
I set up the lunches. At first, the kids are serious eaters, then they get silly. I do the diapers (ouch, my back). Set out the nap mats. The kids go down easily. The Seahorses are a little bit of work, though. Streetcar to d'town. Drop off stuff at my place. Change into my shorts because it's a whole 48° ...yummy! Walk down to Target City and browse. Up to Westlake Center for some Thai Go Swimming Rama. Also, yummy!
I enjoy the sparkly lights d'town. Back to my place. Watch Politics Nation. Rev. Al! Thanks for picking on The War On Christmas.

dinsdag 27 november 2012 Weird dreams about being chased by aliens who look like expanding humans. Keanu Reeves tries to rescue me, but they smash him. Up at 4:18. Watch RT News and the Keiser Report. "Britain is about to be flattened..." It sounds like London will be smashed by a financial Gorgo. Spicy clam omelet and hash browns for breakfast. Up to Kaladi for coffee. The barista is by herself. Turn on Stephanie Miller. Yay! I catch Steven Weber who joins the gang in studio for the last hour. He's so clever and funny that I laugh out loud... a lot. Up Westlake to work. I'm all around today. Starfish, Dolphins and Seahorses. Outside and in the Bike Room. I visit the Ducklings in the Infant Room. One kid has a weird, complicated cloth diaper system.

Drop off stuff. Short walk this evening. Got my Powerball at Plaza Select Foods. Strange that I'm the only one in the store. The cute clerk wishes me "good luck." Thank you, Plaza Select Foods!
Watch KOMO News. More police violence. Report - Seattle police release dash cam video of man's alleged beating. "Comply to the police force, you zombie piece of s^*t!" Geez! 179 comments to this KOMO report. I would have said the same thing... "Don't shoot me!" The SPD beats up white people, too. Besides police brutality, KOMO shows the awesome Santa Fest in Sydney. How energetic! Love you, Sydney! Whoa! And The Empire State Building... Fantastic NYC! Turkey and gravy with sweet potato fries for dinner. Finally, Star Trek - Mudd's Women. The Enterprise picks up untrustworthy entrepreneur Harry Mudd accompanied by three beautiful women who immediately put a spell on all the male crew.

Black Friday may be over, but the crowds this year were certainly memorable. Walk up to Whole Foods for a 2nd breakfast. Spend a lot of time with the Dolphins. They seem to be rather sensitive. Hoping that we'll have a long time to spend on the playground... but no. Coming inside seemed rather stressful. Ilene sets up lunches while I read stories and sing songs. Things smooth out (somewhat). Switch over to Sea Otters at Noon. They're just sitting down for lunch. I hear the battle about naps next door. The Sea Otters go down easily. Quiet time. Streetcar to d'town. Catch a #11 up to 17th. Shop at Trader Joe's. There's a little shopping frenzy here. Me? It's just my little basket with 7 little items. #12 back to First Hill. Turn on A Prairie Home Companion coming from The Town Hall on West 43rd Street in New York City. I love the crystalline voice of Aoife O'Donovan. Watch Teen Wolf. Usually, actor Colton Haynes is a bit of eye candy. But Jackson Whittemore is processed and changes into this slimy, crazy lizard creature.
Up to Whole Foods to get some turkey and stuffing. Nice to enjoy Thanksgiving a little more. Back to d'town. Westlake looks so golden and glittery in the sunshine.
Play some Teen Wolf, Flash Gordon's Trip To Mars... Then Outer Limits - Expanding Human. There's Lee Morrow asking about Conscientiousness Expanding drugs... gain super intelligence. Our old friend and actor - Peter Duryea.

He-man has slipped away, but Skeletor wants him back. "Do what you will with the others, but I want him back!"
Robert Duncan McNeill was only 23-years-old when he did this film in 1987. He plays Kevin Corrigan. I like him in leather.
More Robert Duncan McNeill... One of my favorite episodes of Voyager-Gravity. Tuvok, Tom Paris, and the Doctor are stranded on a planet where (unknown to them) time is moving faster than it is in the rest of the universe. They chase and eat those spiders? Ew! How do you make Thanksgiving Spider?
"it's the same old thing... Fighting scavengers, hunting spiders. Spiders... saute. Live long and prosper. I am grateful. Next film - The One. The One is a quandary. Every alternate universe version of The One grows stronger... Oy! Forget the Multiverse! Next -2010. What about the final odyssey? Very odd, indeed.
