Kenn likes my photo of Eddie imitating Mr. Darby. Early risers. Those Sea Otter boys! I take them to the Bike Room. Listen to All Things Considered on my walk to Queen Anne. Interesting report - White Men, A Key GOP Demographic, Discuss The Romney Appeal. Really? woensdag 10 oktober 2012

woensdag 10 oktober 2012 Up at 3:34. Watch France 24. It's the Culture Report. Movie reviews and an interview with Bobcat Goldthwait about his dark comedy movie - God Bless America. I love Lisa Nesselson, and she brought her teddy bear. Blue cheese and green pepper omelet and hash browns for breakfast. Turn on KTLK for the Stephanie Miller Show. KTLK has a disturbing report about a kid in Maryland who is roughed up by students as local TV crew prepares to interview him. Stop bullies. Support Preston. Steph talks about Obama's Visit To Ohio State. A big crowd of 15,000. Obama tells the crowd, “Grab your friends and go vote." How about that interview with her favorite comedic actress? Stephanie starstruck with guest of a lifetime Carol Burnett. Walk up Westlake to work. I cover for Patty's planning time. Sharyn covers for Charmaine. We're with the 5 Sea Otters. We play the 6 Little Ducks CD and read the Wacky Wild Peek-A-Boo book... emphasis on the BOO!
We head outside. The teachers talk about how Fall has really settled in. We really involved with the sandbox... sifting the wood chips out of the sand. They're serious about the job. What a mellow day. Mellow lunch. Mellow naps. The Seahorses are wound up, though. Oy! It takes patience, but Kenn and I prevail. Back to Sea Otters. It's a magical nap time. Ahhhh, yes. Walk up to Mercer to Met Market. I love that they have Sanpellegrino Pompelmo - just 82¢ per can. I'm hoping to catch a Rapid Ride bus back to d'town. It's a plain ol' #2 bus. Watch Power Rangers Lost Galaxy - Escape The Lost Galaxy. Can they really do it? Yes! With Mike's help. Sesame noodles and stir fried imitation crab for dinner. Watch France 24. Well, the US Anti-Doping Agency said Wednesday it has gathered 1,000 pages of "overwhelming" evidence - Armstrong’s doping ‘most sophisticated ever’.

dinsdag 9 oktober 2012

dinsdag 9 oktober 2012 Up with alarm. Hash browns and fried egg for breakfast. Turn on Stephanie Miller. She reads pieces of an endorsement for Barrack Obama from the St. Louis Post Dispatch - Obama for president: A Second Term For A Serious Man.
Finish Star Trek DS9 - Captive Pursuit. Turn on KUOW to hear Weekday - David Quammen On New Frontiers Of Disease. The emergence of strange new diseases is a frightening problem that seems to be getting worse. In this age of speedy travel, it threatens a worldwide pandemic. We hear news reports of Ebola, SARS, AIDS, and something called Hendra killing horses and people in Australia—but those reports miss the big truth that such phenomena are part of a single pattern. The bugs that transmit these diseases share one thing: they originate in wild animals and pass to humans by a process called spillover. Spillover sounds scary. I'm outside a lot this morning doing some breaks for the toddler teachers. I set up lunches for the Sea Otters. Naps are a little wacky. Usually, it's quiet when I walk into the Seahorses. Today, only 2 are asleep. They're rowdy. It takes work to get them to sleep, but they do. Back to Sea Otters. Among the nappers, one pops up. "Mike is here. Time to play." I take her out to the playground. We play with Elena's group. The streetcar runs every 10 minutes now. Convenient for me. Drop off stuff at my place. Up to QFC to pick up a few things. Settle down with a movie - Werewolf: The Beast Among Us.

The kid is played by Guy Wilson. How could a nice kid like this end up as a werewolf? Just look in the mirror, kid!
The town gets hysterical. "It's the kid!" The villagers are rather mean to him... when they discover that he's the savage killer.
