zondag 30 november 2014

zondag 30 november 2014 Solid sleep. I wake up at 8:40... wondering Why is Peter Quill Called Star-Lord?
Be still my heart. It's amazing what you can find on the YouTubes - Guardians of the Galaxy: Awesome Mix Vol.1
It's 29° and sunny. I'll stay inside and watch Invaders From Mars.
Turkey sausage and fried waffle potatoes for brunch. The apartment is pretty cozy and warm. Nice long afternoon nap. Yes! I have a positive lock! Star Trek TNG - The Neutral Zone. Of course... Good ol' L. Q. "Sonny" Clemmons... What's to become of him?

Snow advisories in effect for Seattle, North Sound. Here, in Bellingham, I don't see a thing. Re-watch The Walking Dead - Indifference. This episode is all about letting go, whether it be of dead loved ones, old insecurities, bad habits or a grudge so strong you'd put your own life in danger to hold it. While looking for supplies, Rick and Carol bump into a cute couple. One of them is 'Sam' played by Robin Lord Taylor...
AKA Oswald Cobblepot (The Penguin). Brrr. It's chilly. Head downstairs for coffee. Maxine is right a my door, waiting for my petting. Gregg suggests playing Marie Antoinette. I love it! In 1768, Marie Antoinette is selected by her mother to marry the Dauphin of France, the future Louis XVI of France (Jason Schwartzman), therefore sealing the Franco-Austrian Alliance. This is a rich picture.
Delicious pancakes and bacon for brunch while we watch Oz The Great And Powerful. Wondering if the Great Franco will burst the bubble.
Check my train's status. I don't won't to leave. Good-bye nice house. Good-bye friends and cats. Good-bye room. Good-bye Malbec Bodega Privada Mendoza Argentina. Good-bye room.
Good-bye to this awesome Man Cave.
No Battle on Bespin... just good-bye.

Smooth and quick. I arrive safe and sound at my place. I check with train #517 status. It's 3 hr 50 min late. At 12:15, it arrives in Stanwood. Watch some Gotham before going to bed. vrijdag 28 november 2014 Up at 4:00. Turn on BBC News. Leftover Thanksgiving for breakfast - ham, potatoes and green bean salad. Watch Bewitched: And Then There Were Three. (1966) A classic episode. Samantha gives birth to Tabitha and Darrin meets Serena for the first time. Reading Dr. Spock?

Snacking on Thanksgiving leftovers all day. It's a wonderfully long movie day! Guardians Of The Galaxy. Crazy and thrilling and noisy. Full of action and big name actors. Chris Pratt - Star Lord - plays the hunky, brash, good bad-doer for the Galaxy. Dance-off spoof clip. Then it's X-Men: Days of Future Past. It's a conundrum. I feel that our heroes have to fix the past as well as the future.

Professor X: The future: a dark, desolate world. A world of war, suffering, loss on both sides. Mutants, and the humans who dared to help them, fighting an enemy we cannot defeat. Are we destined down this path, destined to destroy ourselves like so many species before us? Or can we evolve fast enough to change ourselves... change our fate? Is the future truly set? Evan Peters as Peter Maximoff / Quicksilver; a mutant who can move, speak and think at supersonic speeds. I love the Pentagon break-in. A little news before the last movie. More than 200 protesters, some chanting "Black Lives Matter!" tried to disrupt Black Friday shopping and downtown Seattle's traditional Christmas tree lighting ceremony. Police turned out in force, arresting five people, and a downtown mall closed early. At last! Maleficent with sidekick Diaval.

Catch a #106 to the Int'l District. The King Street Station!
WOW! The station is packed with travelers! Which line do I stand in? Thank God a guard sorts us out. Boarding is fair quick. We leave right on time. Love the views of the sound. Beautiful!
The passenger next to me is a young Asian guy. A young couple to my right are constantly kissing. From time to time, they stop and talk. Then they start pawing each other again. At least, they're cute. The farmland flows by my window.
An announcement! A freight train is stuck in front of us... Only 10 miles south of Bellingham. So close and yet so far. The delay is 90 minutes. Finally, we arrive at Bellingham. Michael picks me up. Everything is set up for Thanksgiving. Pete the cat seems to be waiting for something. Turkey? At the house, we watch a lot of TV. The Flash. Grant Gustin is splendid as The Flash.
