Sad that this has happened in our country. Why did police officer fire gas canister into crowd trying to help injured Iraq veteran? Protesters take to the streets of New York and Oakland in solidarity after Marine was left in critical condition.


Steph and gang talk about that clown Bill O'Reilly. O’Reilly was visibly upset, however, with another poll showing that 66 percent of Americans feel money and wealth are not “distributed fairly” in the United States. He says OWS Is ‘Basically Socialistic’ Liar! Shower. Watch Stargate SG-1: Counterstrike. Very good episode. The Jaffa take the fight to the Ori, using a genocidal weapon on their new worshipers and landing SG-1 in the middle of a war they can't control. Adria is amazingly powerful with her telekinesis. Elsewhere, Earth and its allies assemble a fleet when a working Ori Supergate is discovered. The battle with the Black Knight is brutal. More brutal is the battle with the Ori spaceships.
Walk up Westlake to work. The Starfish and Seahorses are playing in the Bike Room. I give Cristin and Toni breaks. Over to Sea Otters for lunch prep. Back to Starfish for Olivia's lunch break. The kids are hanging out in the classroom. I do a few diapers. Yachea comes in to give Cristin a little planning time. She takes over circle. Wow. She sings the songs way off pitch. Cristin does the lunch prep. 12 - Anne's lunch. I sit with the Seahorses for lunch time. They seem rather quiet. 1 - Cristin's lunch. The 6 Starfish are napping. Sam wakes up crying. Shower. Watch Stargate SG-1: Stronghold. Baal kidnaps Teal'c as part of a plot to brainwash those Jaffa advocating a move toward democracy. Cameron Mitchell learns that an old friend is about to die. Walk up Westlake to work. 10 to 12 - I'm extra help for the Sea Otters. They do a paint project. Then I do lunch prep from Dolphins and Sea Otters. Busy day. I'm tired already. 12 - Anne's lunch. Gloria is subbing for Toni today. I sit with the 7 Seahorses and eat my lunch with them. Everyone naps except Mr. A. 1 - Gloria's lunch. Still dealing with Mr. A. 2 - Olivia's lunch. That's a late lunch for her. Three Starfish are awake already. I take them to the Bike Room. A mom visits, and her son has a meltdown when she leaves. Intense! I like it. 12 - Anne's lunch. I eat my hummus sandwich with the 7 Seahorses. Toni does potty time. Down for naps. They all sleep. 1 - Both Toni and Sharon take their lunches. I get to go home early. Crossing 4th Avenue... Whoa! Why so many cop cars? There's a guy who notices my camera. His sign says Your Tax Dollars At Work.
I understand you, dude. It's hard to make clear cost/benefit analysis of a huge police presence for a peaceful demonstration. Or maybe the police are buying underwear at Macy's.
Back at my place. Watch Stargate SG-1: Ripple Effect. It trips me out, man! Multiple SG-1s show up at Stargate Command, leading the "real" team to conclude that they have each been inadvertantly displaced from different parallel realities. Rice and tofu for dinner. Fascinating stories. 10 - Sanitize most of the handles at school. 11 - Out to the playground to find the Starfish. It's Olivia's lunch. Another beautiful Fall day. We all go inside together. Cristin does circle while I do diapers. 12 - Anne's lunch. The Seahorses settle down after their trip to the library. We sit to eat lunch. I do diapers one-by-one. They just crash to sleep. Nap time is easier here than on Sesame Street, I guess.

127 minutes later. The movie is over. I feel French. Turn on France 24. They have live coverage from Israel about The Homecoming Of Gilad Shalit. He gives his dad big hugs. He salutes Netanyahu. Netanyahu makes speeches.
Poor guy looks very gaunt and thin. I'm wondering why the French press deals so much with Shalit. Wiki says that he's a French national.
Steak fries and fried egg for breakfast. Turn on KOMO News. It looks like that Occupy Seattle has moved their tents to city hall.
The protesters were pushed out yesterday. Some tents were confiscated. 8 people were arrested. Turn on Stephanie Miller. Lots of chuckles. They are waiting with baited breath for the CNN/Western Republican Leadership Conference Debate tonight in Las Vegas.
Shower. Watch Important Things With Demetri Martin - Attention. Walk up Westlake to work. 10 - Breaks for Charmaine, Cristin, Kenn and Tanja. At first, we're in the Bike Room. then we migrate outside. What a beautiful day! 11 - Olivia's lunch. Cristin sees a bug and freaks out. I can't see anything. The 8 Starfish play a while on the small playground. They move over to the Tod's PG. We head inside for diapers and lunch. 12 - Anne's lunch. A tryout - Jacqueline - joins us for lunch time. Nap time is a little weird. 1 - Cristin's lunch. Most of the Starfish are sleeping. Just 2 to go. Finally, it's quiet time. 2 - It's a magical nap time for the Seahorses, too. Turn on The World as I leave. The focus is on Israel - Palestine Territories with The Release Of Gilad Shalit, the Hamas Prisoner Exchange and how Hamas Celebrates. Walk up Capitol to Harvard Market QFC. Pick up a few things. Drop off stuff at my place. Turn on CNN for the Las Vegas GOP Debate. How exciting!

Watch some animated Star Trek after the debate. I love the forcefield belts that the Enterprise crew wore whenever they walked out into space. Cool.

zaterdag 15 oktober 2011 Up at 2:36. Way too early. But I get out of bed. Need to get ready for a STARS class up at the Phinney Ridge Lutheran Church. Spaghetti Carbonera for breakfast. Shower. Walk through Westlake Park to my bus stop at Macy's. # 5 bus up to Phinney Ridge. I miss this neighborhood. I used to live here with Kevin years and years ago. Visit Makeda for a little coffee. Down to my class. A Ph. D. from the U. of W. lectures us about the structures of the brain and how they relate to emotions.
I thought that I would be bored. But I am fascinated. So many questions, so little time. The 4 hours go fast. I try to call Kevin. No answer. I explore Phinney Ridge. Walk down Greenwood and Phinney to catch a #5 bus back to d'town. Nostalgia. D'town at Westlake Center. Things are thumping and jumping at Occupy Seattle.
Get some Chinese Food at the Westlake Food court. I'm hungry. the protesters must bring a lot of business to the food court. Walking home. Passing by the ACT, I see Keanu Reeves in one of the windows. Never Mind The Bullock?
I turn on DW-TV. I guess the world was occupied today. Occupy Frankfurt. Frankfurt is a focus for protest today.
Settle down at home. Eat my Chinese. Watch a strange movie. Thanks to Netflix for the suggestion. It's Brothers Of The Head. Enjoyably twisted.

Fox News’ Bill O’Reilly tell it, Occupy Wall Street is a den of sex and rats and crack babies running down the streets, screaming over broken syringes and used condoms to the beat of bongo drums played by people with names like “Chai” or “Phoenix.” Kind of like college.


Such liars! John Fugelsang has been down there, and he says that it's nothing like that... Well, maybe there are bongos. To exorcise O'Reilly from my mind, body and spirit; I turn on Stargate SG-1: Moebius, Part 2. Turn on Weekday - Jeffrey Sachs' Vision For National Economic Recovery. He totally understands about the 1% / 99% thing. He says that social and economic inequality and corporate greed is outrageous. His book is The Price Of Civilization.
Walk up to Whole Foods for a 2nd breakfast. Streetcar to work. Lunch set-up for the Dolphins and Sea Otters. Then lunch breaks for the Starfish and Seahorse teachers. Fun in the Bike Room and on the playground. Seahorses have a long, leisurely lunch. Long, peaceful nap time. Walk home. Drop off stuff. Walk down to the library. Browse through the books in the psychology section. Back at my place. Watch a little Morning Joe. Depressing report from the Wall Street Journal - Economists: Americans Won't Recover Income Losses Until 2021. And Zuccotti Square is full of people.
