woensdag 5 oktober 2011

woensdag 5 oktober 2011 Up at 3:09. Weird dream about getting lost in the BART system. Turn on DW-TV. Space is cool! Report - US Physicists Win Nobel Prize For Work On Accelerating Universe Expansion. Surprise! Checking MSNBC, Seattle is there! Report - 'Occupy Seattle' Protesters Ordered To Move Tents Or Face Arrest. Do you know what? Seattle has always been Occupied. Hummus on toast with a hard boiled egg for breakfast. KOMO News has the same story about the protests.
The protesters called people to defend the occupation, but the cops never showed up. Turn on Stephanie Miller... with Hump Days With Hal.
The guys devote a lot of time and brains to the issues of social and economic inequality, corporate greed, and the influence of corporate money and lobbyists on government. Shower. Watch a little Morning Joe. Walk down to Westlake to catch the streetcar. I see all the tents in the park.

Up to work. Start with some breaks for Sakura, Toni and Kenn. It's raining a little on us, so we head inside early. 11 - Cristin's lunch. Someone is supposed to do lunch prep but no one shows up. Olivia just does it. The kids enjoy new blue play-doh which Kenn made. The boys enjoy the match box cars. I do some diapers, and we sit down to lunch. 12 - Anne's lunch. The 7 Seahorses are almost done with lunch. They're tired. They all conk out before 1... which is Toni's lunch break. I get to read Gandhi. Chapter about The Black Act.

2 - Olivia's lunch. Three kids wake up right away. Off to the Bike Room to play. Walk over to Queen Anne. I see a helicopter from a TV station hovering over d'town. I'm sure that it's because the police are evicting the Occupy Seattle group. Yep.
The cops are here. The tents seem to be gone. I see a couple garbage trucks, too. Did they gobble up the tents? I can hear their chanting. "Occupy Seattle! Occupy Seattle! Occupy Seattle!" Want to get home to watch the news. Report - Seattle Police Have Arrested At Least 30 Occupy Seattle Demonstrators. I gets rough. Why do I mix comedy with misery? I need something smart and funny. Thank you, Netflix, for having Important Things With Demetri Martin. I watch Brain and Chair. Black bean stew for dinner. Watch Stargate SG-1: Affinity and Covenant.
