David Pakman and producer Louis have thoughts on this. Easy-going day at work. Only 8 kids. It seems that the weather is going to spoil our outside time, but the Child Care Gods are kind. Just a few sprinkles in the afternoon. A few sprinkles of rain on me for my bike ride home. Let's watch Man Of Steel.

Happy Primary Day, New York. Rise and shine... and vote.
Bike into town. Is this wisteria? Thank you, pretty flowers.
It seems like the plan is to take the kids to the library. But they seem a little too high energy for that. We head outside to the playground. That new bell is starting to give me a head ache. Clang clang clang! The kids are never going to get tired of it. The playground seems a little crowded. Children per square foot... It's probably not legal. Lunches, diapers and naps. The day flies by. Anxious to get home to see the primary results. Trump gives his victory speech at Trump Tower... and Clinton speaks after NY win.

vrijdag 15 april 2016

vrijdag 15 april 2016 More internet trouble. Is it Bruce's new phone? I manage to stream Stephanie Miller. They talk about last night's nasty debate. The Democratic Debate in Brooklyn Thursday night seemed somehow fitting in both its brutality and ugliness. We think that Clinton and Sanders are tired of each other. Jill Sobule, Singer, activist, manages to lift spirits. A donut at Haggen. A coffee at the Bagelry. Only 9 kids at school. Nice. Lots of fun on the playground. He's singing ROW, ROW, ROW!.
Wow! She learned how to walk a few days ago. Look at her go, go, go!
He makes a rather abstract sculpture out of toys... with the FlipOut ball. He puts everything back, though.

dinsdag 12 april 2016

dinsdag 12 april 2016 Restless. More MST3K The Day The Earth Froze. Scary lady talks about mystical, magical Sampo.
Turn on Democracy Now. Lee Fang joins the show. Not a big fan of Hillary. Who do you like, Lee?
Kai Newkirk talks about the Democracy Spring movement and the protests on Capitol Hill. Hundreds of 'Democracy Spring' protesters arrested at Capitol Hill sit-in.
Bus into town. Tofu and mushroom scramble at the co-op. Spicy! I feel that we are rushed outside with some of the toddlers. One of the teachers is called on it. Too much outside time. I set up some of the lunches. By popular demand, I read Fire Truck for the kids. They're learning to sing along. Naps are a little late, but everyone sleeps. While the kids sleep, I wonder if the teachers like it to be crazy. Maybe they get a thrill out of being in emergency mode. While I'm alone with the nappers, I clean up the lunch mess. I wash the dishes and set up the snack for 13 children. It's one of those days. Rain keeps us inside for the afternoon. We manage. On the busride home, I hear Open Your Heart. (1986 FOLKS!) The amazing Madonna!
