In the morning, I continue the marathon with The Impossible Planet and The Satan Pit. I love it when the cute and adorable archaeologist - Toby - turns evil! Toby doesn't deserve what happened to him.

Dodging some scattered thunder storms today. When it clears, I walk out with my umbrella, but I don't need it. We need the rain.

During the second night of the RNC, Larry Kudlow, the top economic adviser to the Trumpinator, Refers to Pandemic in Past Tense on Same Day Covid Kills 1,147 People. Dip their clam cakes in chowder ... and yes, we eat a lot of calamari, Rhode Island style Throwup face! Oh my goodness... How can any competent human being give any credance to Trump? Back home for lunch. I read an interesting article from the January 2018 issue of The Atlantic by Russian-born American journalist Julia Ioffe - What Putin Really Wants. Is Russia dead set on being a global power? What's going through Putin's mind when he invades Crimea and wages war in eastern Ukraine? How did the Kremlin hack the voting infrastructure of various U.S. states?

Mix a little humor with our Authorianism in a Sci-Fi movie and we get MST3K: It Conquered the World. Venusians send flying bat-like creatures to Earth to implant mind control devices in certain human beings. Let the shlocky, sci-fi hilarity ensue!

Omsk to Berlin is a long 11-hour flight. Navalny's condition was stable during the flight and after landing. I'm surprised that the Kremlin didn't make the plane crash. Just a short walk to Tappan Square before breakfast. At 7AM, it's 57°F and clear. The sun warms things up quickly, and by 11AM, it's 81°F. (Up 24° in 4 hours.) How to Person.Woman.Man.Camera.TV. I see a yard sign which mocks Trump on his mental acuity test.

And on the other side... This is probably my favorite in Oberlin.

Due To Family Gatherings Where People Are In Close Contact And Not Wearing Masks.🙄 Last week, I saw a huge family picnic at Spring Street Park. OOOOOOH NOOOOOO!!! Sigh!

America, you in danger, girl! The DNC was amazing. I'm still revelling in it. Too much energy. Not a lot of sleep last night. In the morning, I hear my marching orders from The White Stripes on WTSQ. It's fun to walk with the bass beat. Over to that old house off of Woodhaven Place. The first Usonian house in Ohio - the Weltzheimer/Johnson House - Frank Lloyd Wright place.

Back home. Turn on CNN where I fall into this awful vortex of news. The interview with Miles Taylor is riveting and truly scary. Ex-DHS official: I fear Trump will do this to make the election difficult.

Power Rangers vs the Evil President! I need to confess to a fantastic dream. I was the Red Ranger on the Operation Overdrive team (and I look great in Ranger Red!). We went to the White House to arrest Trump. The Secret Service turned into alien monsters and confronted us. Lightning came out of my eyes and they were knocked out. We went into the Oval Office, and Trump roared Destruction to all those who oppose me! I zapped him, too, and we took him away.
