zaterdag 31 maart 2018

zaterdag 31 maart 2018 Jimmy Carter appears on Stephen Colbert's show. Apparently, America Wants A Jerk For President. ZING! Now, I'm obsessed with The Donald. I watch the whole 4-part series - Trump: An American Dream.
Watch The Titan. It takes place in the year 2048. Earthlings are destroying their planet with population growth, environmental decay, and constant war. Sam Worthington plays a young man who finds himself on his way to Titan, Saturn’s moon, to colonize it. Uff da! It involves drastic genetic manipulation of the astronauts.
Up to 56° with filtered sunshine. Glorious! Nice to walk around town with the Indians - Mariners game in my ear. Thank you, 710 ESPN Seattle. Relief pitcher for the Indians - Andrew Miller - helps. All of a sudden, it's #MillerTime!

vrijdag 30 maart 2018

vrijdag 30 maart 2018 Fantastic Friday! Jack Jenkins visits the Bill Press Show to talk about his experience at the March For Our Lives. Assigned to cover the religious angle for the protest, Jack assumed it would be a quick story. But religion angles just keep showing up.
Urged by their youth, faith groups flocked to the March for Our Lives.
This Laura Ingraham—David Hogg feud is definitely a religion story. Ingraham’s apology cited Holy Week. Hogg’s reply references Jesus’ call to “love the neighbor.” Laura Ingraham Ripped On Twitter For Hiding Behind Religion In ‘Bogus’ Apology. Good job, David Hogg! Watch MST3K - Zombie Nightmare. (With 80's Canadian teenagers!) Tony (Jon Mikl Thor) is a musclebound teenage baseball player. Nice bod! Think I'll walk down Certain Doom Lane.

donderdag 29 maart 2018

donderdag 29 maart 2018 Up with Tom Daley and Dustin Lance Black. I have never heard of Unicorn Bark as an Easter treat. (Unicorn poop?!) On France 24, they show us the quirky ways France celebrates Easter. The lamb and white beans looks very yummy. Le Gigot d'Agneau. What you need to know before the Mariners' opening game. It starts at 7:10 PM, and the roof will probably be closed. Mariners open the season hosting the Cleveland Indians. It's a gray day in Seattle.
Safeco Field's new menu boasts dumplings and a donut bar. What to eat? What to eat? Brother, Can You Spare a Brain? I, actually, can believe the series iZombie takes place in Seattle. (The skyline is so wrong!)
I say... WHAT? I miss Genghis Khan in Seattle. I got some dried up Sesame Chicken with rice at Haggen. Plagghh! You are so awful! I could not eat it! What a waste of money! WANT BRAINS!

woensdag 28 maart 2018

woensdag 28 maart 2018 Watching the sweetest 2014 Brazilian coming-of-age romantic drama film ever... The Way He Looks.
With tears still rolling down my face... Watch Matt + Blue march in Denver - March For Our Lives. Imagine Dragons’ Dan Reynolds Strips Down with Rainbow Flag: ‘Embrace Our Sexual Diversity’. Brazil again! It was at Lollapalooza Brazil Festival on Saturday (March 24) in Sao Paulo. Reynolds tweets: ‘celebrate our diversity. embrace our LGBTQ youth. to “accept” does not simply mean to “love” – it means you give true validity and fully embrace and support diverse sexual orientations and do not see ones sexuality as “incorrect” or “sinful”. love is an empty word otherwise.’
Let's wrap it up with Shelter. Released in 2007, but I still love it. The resolution with Shaun and Zach: Where are you? Zach: Gettin' warmer... colder... turn around. I'm so sorry. (Uff da!) Shaun: You better be.

dinsdag 27 maart 2018 Welcome to Relva VII where Wesley Crusher is taking the Starfleet Academy entrance exam.
Our planet is anticipating China's Tiangong-1 space lab's blazing reentry to Earth's atmosphere soon. How Much Space Junk Hits Earth? Binge-watching the second season of the American horror-comedy web television series Santa Clarita Diet. I get a hoot out of Nathan Fillion as Gary The Severed Head.
It rains most of the day, but the sun pops out at 3 o'clock. The clouds move off, and it warms up nicely. Finally, I get outside for some fresh air. I hope that we get more sunny days this week.

5 things for March 26: March for Our Lives, Stormy Daniels, Russia mall fire. Amazing view. The crowd at the March for Our Lives rally, as seen from the roof of the Newseum in Washington, D.C.
I was wondering why David Hogg had the $1.05 price tag on his microphone. It was a message for Marco Rubio. The kids seem very optimistic about the future. Me? Not so much.

zondag 25 maart 2018

zondag 25 maart 2018 Maxine is sitting on my chest the whole time. We're watching a 1965 spaghetti Western film.
Directed by Sergio Leone starring Clint Eastwood. I don't really understand who the outlaws are. For a Few Dollars More. The theme song is a bit haunting. That's our country, right there, boys and girls. The USA. Founded with guns and violence. Are we ever going to evolve? I believe in David Hogg. I have hope in our future... and in our kids. Please, kids, take over! Start the revolution! Neil Patrick Harris is a psychic intelligence officer from a fascistic, militaristic future. My God! I can imagine it. If the future could be just as real! Starship Troopers on STARZ.

zaterdag 24 maart 2018

zaterdag 24 maart 2018 They interview Frank Oz on CBS This Morning. He does many Muppet characters - Miss Piggy, Fozzie Bear, Animal, Sam Eagle, Cookie Monster, Bert, and Grover.
My favorite Muppet is Grover. He's so cute and cuddly. He tries so hard to teach us Near & Far.
Watch the hundreds of thousands of people gather in DC for March For Our Lives. Pennsylvania Avenue packed, supporting the kids.
Cameron Kasky! You are amazing! Another passionate, stirring speech! Today, we take to the streets in over 800 marches around the globe and demand common-sense gun laws. Today is the beginning of a bright new future for this country.
One thing that touched me so much is an absent student... whose birthday is remembered today. Nicholas Dworet would have turned 18 years old today. Please! Let the hate and violence stop! 'Happy Birthday' sing-along at March for Our Lives rally becomes emotional.
I'm up at Sweetbay to take care of the cats. They take care of me.

vrijdag 23 maart 2018 #NeverAgain David Hogg and Emma González speak with HuffPost about how they cope with PTSD. Parkland Survivors Struggle With Grief, Even As Their Message Spreads. One more day! I enjoyed the start of spring, now it feels a lot more like winter. Snow?

donderdag 22 maart 2018

donderdag 22 maart 2018 Rainy day. Movie day! What else is there to do? Watch Kingsman: The Golden Circle. Uff da! I love Taron Egerton!
And I love Channing Tatum doing his weird jig with his underwear and the cowboy hat and boots on. On Jimmy Kimmel... This is just a short list of some things that Trump is currently furious about: leaks, Mueller, women. He's a crazy president! Trump is Furious and Bad at Spelling.
On Ellen... Inspiring student organizers on the March For Our Lives. Man! Sam pulls at my heartstrings when he talks about his friend Joachim. I'm with you guys! Good luck in DC. At last, The Meaning Of Life. Yes! People are stupid, obnoxious or daft.

dinsdag 20 maart 2018

dinsdag 20 maart 2018 Restless night. Midnight movie - MST3K: The Robot vs. The Aztec Mummy. I am Orkon. This is my brother Xenon and my other brother Xenon.
It's a traveling day. Dan is my chauffeur to the airport. TSA is easy. Flight to Detroit is quick. Instant connection with my flight to Seattle. The put us on a 737-900ER (again). Even though it's a brand new plane, it's cramped... packed to the brim with people. A girl ahead of me is watching Diary Of A Wimpy Kid. It looks interesting. But I'm watching the disaster movie Geostorm. Link Light Rail is such a civilized way to get to downtown Seattle.
My goodness! A new building. It looks like a giant crystal of Krypton.
It's pretty! What a great first day of Spring! Everyone is outside enjoying the sunshine and blue skies. I wander here and there. I'm glad that I had a chance to play in Seattle before going back to Bellingham.

Oh, Wellington! Maybe I can escape the snow before it gets here tomorrow. One more visit with mom. We reminisce. She gives me more photos and an album to put them in. Dan and Lisa have a new blue Ford Focus! We ride back to Herrick Street. Dinner and a movie - Star Wars Episode VI: Return Of The Jedi. [Darth Vader steps out of his shuttle on the Death Star.] Moff Jerjerrod: Lord Vader. This is an unexpected pleasure. We are honored by your presence. Darth Vader: You may dispense with the pleasantries, Commander.

zondag 18 maart 2018

zondag 18 maart 2018 I took a long nap last night, but I'm up for SNL. Yay! Bill Hader returns as guest host. I love the 'Californians' sketch. Pete Davidson plays Rosa's long-forgotten son. What's with that accent? I'm from Encino, and I've never heard anything like that before.
Up in the morning with Kazaam - an old Comedy, Family, Fantasy film. The shower scene with Shaquille is hilarious! Bean - my new cat friend - is sunbathing near my doorway. He's cute!
Well, I came to Wellington to re-unite with family. My brother and his family come down for a pizza party at mom's place. We share photos and listen to "The Amazing Adventures of Alex" my nephew.

zaterdag 17 maart 2018

zaterdag 17 maart 2018 SyFy honors the passing of Stephen Hawkings. He appears in four episodes of Futurama. Until Beast With A Billion Backs, Hawkings didn't know that he could shoot lasers out of his eyes.
All of downtown Wellington is celebrating Saint Paddy's Day. And Fort's is packed! There's a serious amount of green.
We're very lucky to get a booth. I love the corned beef sandwiches.
Guinness. The World's Most Iconic Beer. Brewed In Dublin Since 1759.
Evening movie - The Amazing Spider-Man 2 on FX.

vrijdag 16 maart 2018

vrijdag 16 maart 2018 I'm in Ohio. I open my laptop to check Google maps for something. Weird. The little blue dot shows that I'm still in Romulus, Michigan at the Detroit Metropolitan Airport. No.
I love walking down the light tunnel. One of my favorite things.
Actually, I'm in Ohio. It's 33° and cloudy. And there's still snow on the ground from the last batch of flurries which happened a few days ago. It's so cold for me. Welcome to First United Methodist Church of Wellington. They are a faith home of tradition, founded in 1826.
Let's warm up with Jason Momoa as Conan The Barbarian on SyFy. Thank you, Conan, for saving the world.

donderdag 15 maart 2018

donderdag 15 maart 2018 I'm still feeling a little jetlag. The sun is coming up in Ohio, but it's still dark in Seattle watching KING 5. This story about Brendan touched me. You are precious! Why one student sat alone as thousands marched for Florida victims.
Lisa and I go into Oberlin to shop. I love Benjamin Franklin. A small-town variety store with a twist. So many books, so little time. Actually, I get interested in Fire and Fury.
One-on-one time with mom. She makes dinner for me. Chicken, mash potatoes and salad. We look at photos together. I like her new home.
Thanks, mom.
