If all of the people between the ages of 18 and 30 voted in the next election... they would elect the next president. The vid has only 85 views. William Noah Schnapp and William Wawro want to go on Hardball to talk about this. I want to follow up on the Flat Earth Five - Environmentalists target 5 Republicans who question humans’ impact on climate.  (Discussed on Hardball last night.)

We clean up their lunch mess. Change a few diapers. It's nap time. The Seahorses are sleeping soundly, too. Back to Sea Otters. Brandon is awake. He eats a late lunch. The kids wake up one-by-one. I read to them. If I leave at 2:58, catch that streetcar, I'm home by 3:27. It's nice to catch that 3 o'clock streetcar. A little snack to keep me going until the STARS class. Walk down to the new City Target. Just a little walk through. Streetcar to South Lake Union Park. Stop to admire the geese. I listen to their squeaks and squawks. I love geese.
The meeting is called "Components Of Growing And Celebrating Community" ta-dah! Actually, we have an in depth discussion respect, professionalism, learning from each other and active listening. Streetcar to d'town. I guess that President Obama is coming to town, too. Traffic is tough already. Over to my place. Snack on a few things. Back to work for a meeting... but I linger at South Union Lake admiring the scenery. Beautiful.
The meeting lasts 90 minutes. We talk about fire drills, the "red sheets" and re-treat. (Not me, no thank you.) I walk most of the way home, but I catch the streetcar the rest of the way. The H Line takes you Nine Mile. Then I take a ride on a tram in Berlin - Line 68. I take a virtual tour of Berlin with YouTube and Google Earth. Sites visited include the Berlin Wall, Holocaust Memorial, German Resistance Memorial, Checkpoint Charlie, Brandenburg Gate, Charlottenburg Palace and the KuDam.
Watch movie - Wings Of Desire. I probably haven't seen this since 1987. There are angels over the streets of Berlin, but these are like no angels you've ever seen. I love the Symphony Of Thoughts. Check on the Seattle Transit Blog. What's new? It's time for Washington State to do more for walking, bicycling, and transit. Time to shop. Down to Uwajimaya. A gunman wearing a gas mask set off an unknown gas and fired into a crowded movie theater in suburban Denver at a midnight opening of the Batman movie "The Dark Knight Rises," Killing 12 People And Injuring At Least 50 Others, authorities said. Turn on Stephanie Miller. It's all about James Holmes, guns, violence, police reports, eye-witness accounts, rumors, hear-say, etc. We need to put out as much kindness as possible on this day. I need George Harrison - Give Me Love (Give Me Peace). I'm all worked up about the news, so I really need to walk. It's pouring down rain on my way to work. Oops. My left foot steps in a puddle.
First, an hour of planning time for Cristin. The 4 Dolphins greet me by latching on to me. Mr. Darby makes a surprise appearance. He's always fun with his happy guitar and banjo. He always does a little improvisation. 11 - Patty's lunch. The 5 Sea Otters are not a happy group. It's been a tough week for them. Lunch time was barely 15 minutes. That's not normal. 12 - Cristin's lunch. Back over to Dolphins. We just hang out and play. 1 - Sharon's lunch. (Where's Toni?) Only 4 Seahorses. They're sleeping... except for one defiant. Kenn and I take turn dealing with the situation. Finally, peace and quiet. 2 - Charmaine's lunch. Two Sea Otters wake up. We color with crayons nand play with cars. At last, it's time to go. Walk up Mercer. Cars are stuck in traffic. (I can see what you're doing in there.) I feel that it's a Mercer Street version of One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish. "Black car, blue car, old car, new car. This one has a little star. This one is a little car. Say! What a lot of cars there are." Shop at Met Market. The trusty ol' #18 takes me d'town. Put my Finlandia away in the freezer. Watch some KOMO News. I feel for the owner of Cafe Racer. He must be suffering Deja Vu today. Strength and courage, my friends. Whew! Short walk up Pine to the Egyptian Theater and back down Pike. Wow. Two old guys - one with a tuba and one with a synthesizer - are playing Nirvana's It Smells Like Team Spirit at Pillars Park. Fantastic!  It draws a few people.  "No, I don't have a gun."  That's Come As You Are.
Back at my place. Salmon salad and rice for dinner. Watch France 24. Britain's Mark Cavendish claims victory in the 18th stage of the Tour de France. Tour favorite Bradley Wiggins crossing the finish line seconds later and keeps the Yellow Jersey. France 24 also covers the news of the shootings in Colorado. The Paris premiere of the new Batman movie “The Dark Knight Rises” was canceled.

Drop off stuff. Let's take a walk. Down to Victor Steinbrueck Park. Pike Market is really busy. People admire the view of the bay.

Sununu is a tooly tool. I need a Calarita after hearing that. Steph and Hal on the Republican Party turning into Muppets. I totally forget about the Tour. Walk up Westlake to work. Spend most of my day with the Sea Otters. We head outside early. We wave 'hi' to the groups of big kids taking walks. Inside, we read SMILE!... three times.
The kids conk right out after lunch. Kids! Don't get sick in July. So many runny noses, sneezing and coughing. I hear coughing during nap time. Restless sleep. Over to Seahorses. Most of them are asleep, but one is absolutely defiant about nap. The screaming is stressful, but Kenn and I manage. Streetcar to d'town. #550 bus tunnel to Uwajimaya. Get a few things. #19 back to Union. Drop off stuff. Catch up with the Tour - Stage 16: Pau to Bagnères-de-Luchon (197 km). Yakisoba noodles for dinner. Watch Power Rangers In Space - Wasp With A Heart. Weird, creepy episode. Wouldn't you freak out if a giant hornet attacked you? And it has a weapon that shoots bees.

The Guitarmy marched 99 miles - symbolizing the plight of the 99 percent - from Philadelphia to NYC and converged with local demonstrators at Zuccotti Park. Back to Stephanie. Take 4 kids up to the Trailblazers to deliver their water bottle back. There's a meltdown before lunchtime. Geez. Over to Sea Otters. Quiet time. Some fell asleep before lunchtime. Back to Seahorses. Kenn and I chat about this and that. Treats in the staff lounge for Support Staff Appreciation Day. And I get a little something. Streetcar to d'town. Walk up to First Hill Park. Back down to my place. Watch KOMO News. Total Wine & More in Bellevue is trying to break a Guinness World Record of the most wine bottles uncorked at the same time. I can watch it live! I do the diapers, set out the mats and pat backs while the kids doze off. It's quiet in the Seahorse classroom, too. The sun drains us all. Streetcar to d'town. #73 bus tunnel to Uwajimaya to get some groceries. CT bus back to Union. Drop off stuff. Egg role and Buffalo chicken wings for dinner.
