woensdag 4 oktober 2017 Tobor The Great! Boy meets robot.
A young boy-genius befriends his grandfather's robot, designed as a test pilot for space travel. A 1954 American science fiction film in glorious black-and-white from Republic Pictures.
It's Robot Day! (My choice.) When I was a kid, I adored Robert the Robot - The Co-Pilot of Fireball XL5. His head and body were transparent. How cool! He'd say On our way 'ome. Gort is awesome! In The Day The Earth Stood Still (1951), Gort emerges from the flying saucer to protect Klaatu. He shoots energy beams from his visor. Bender is great!
