It's eclipse day! CBS explains the syzygy - the geometry and the motions of the Earth, moon and Sun as they wheel about in space.
I head downtown to the library. Lots of kids and parents enjoying the party on the lawn. Someone shares her eclipse glass with me. I like the Solar Eclipse Helmets.
The people are whooping and cheering. Totality in Madras, Oregon.
