woensdag 30 oktober 2019 A Rocky Jones marathon - Beyond The Moon and MST3K: Crash of Moons.
The whole RJ gang: Vena, Rocky, Professor Newton, Winky and Bobby.
It was 7 years ago on this day that Superstorm Sandy roars through the Eastern Seaboard. It effected NE Ohio as well.
Sandy passed through Ohio in the wee hours of the morning. Lots of people lost power for several hours. Vid from WEWS in 2012. I'm still reading On Fire. I'm suffering from bouts of fatigue. I'll read a couple pages, and suddenly I conk out. The Intercept posted on-line the chapter - Season of Smoke. It reminds me a lot of my experience in Bellingham and Blaine when the smoke settled on us. She even remarks on the film on our glasses that you can't seem to clean off.
The fires in California are going from bad to EXTREME! It's a new level of danger. "Extreme" fire weather began in the Los Angeles area at 11PM Tuesday. It's expected to persist for 30 hours, bringing isolated gusts of up to 80 mph. The National Weather Service is labeling the fire weather conditions an "extreme red flag" warning.
Watching KCAL live, I see the dangers in Simi and Jurupa Valleys. Escapes, evacuations, first responders attacking the fires and the rescues. Air Force One sits on display at the Reagan Library as the fire burns in the hills of Simi Valley.
