zaterdag 4 april 2020

zaterdag 4 april 2020 I love Futurama so much. Midnight movie: The Beast with a Billion Backs - an American direct-to-video adult animated science-fiction comedy-adventure film based on the series. Emergency! The universe is ripped open by a cosmic anomaly.
The chirping of the birds and the lovely sunshine draw me outside for a long bike tour of Oberlin. Most of the college students are gone, and the dorms are almost empty. What a waste of housing! I think about the many many people in Seattle who need housing. Seattle’s hidden housing crisis: Middle-class workers forced out of the city. I cruise through the Union Street Housing Complex... empty.
I listen to Weekend Edition on KUOW. A compelling personal story from Scott Shafer from KQED. He remembers some of the people who fought AIDS 40 years ago, when it was a frightening and mysterious outbreak in California and New York. He says there are parallels and lessons in today's coronavirus pandemic. Veterans Of The AIDS Epidemic Reflect On The Lessons That Apply To This One. AIDS was this mystery disease, where people were falling like flies, and no one knew why.
Colossus and the Headhunters, at last! Maciste!
