donderdag 2 juli 2015

donderdag 2 juli 2015 The store closes. It's 75° for my walk home. Listening to KEXP and Giraffage - Be With You. I'm sticky and stinky. Fall asleep to MST3K - Gamera vs Barugon. For you, a short riff. Up at 5:30. Watch a little France 24. Much concern about Greece. Conk out again after breakfast for an hour. Got to get some stuff. Up to Capitol Hill. The news in the box, I see.
June breaks record as warmest, fanning fears of more fires. My fears are up like the temperatures. No June Gloom. The trend is for more hot weather. No rain. Listen to KUOW on the walk. So informative! John Philip Sousa wrote The Stars And Stripes Forever, but what about the theme to Monte Python? The Liberty Bell March. It's supposed to reach 90° today. Go to Hoth, yes!

No one ever complained about the cold on Hoth. We never felt it. Even though we were blinded by blizzards, we could see the final end of the Rebellion in our blaster sights. Was it only a mirage? Perhaps; but on that day, on that planet, our blood ran hot with dreams of victory, melting the ice that stood in our way.

The Battle of Hoth. Of course, I need to watch the whole Empire Strikes Back. On good ol' reliable VHS, ladies and gentlemen.
