zaterdag 26 oktober 2013

zaterdag 26 oktober 2013 Up at 4:01 AM. Turn on RTBF Radio. Back to sleep until 8 o'clock. Nice to sleep in. Spinach and artichoke omelet with potatoes for breakfast. Listen to Wait, Wait... Don't Tell Me live from the Cincinnati Music Hall. John Lithgow plays Not My Job. Wow! The sun comes out for a short hour. In honor of Fogmageddon, I watch The Outer Limits - A Feasibility Study.

The lasting visual impression of “Feasibility” is of watching an ink wash come to life.  Blacks and whites and morbid grays clash in fog, and strive to break through filters and mist, the sky sometimes appearing like a livid bruise.
Me? I love the monsters. The Luminoids - suffering a great and terrible need. The Luminoids need slaves.
Next, Space 1999 - The Testament Of Arkadia. The inscription tells all. Arkadia will live on—in the hearts of an enlightened few who fled before the end, carrying the seeds of a new beginning into the depths of space. The passage ends with a plea for those guided here to make this world live again.
Turn on KUOW to hear Rick Steves. Yay for Suzy Khimm. She wins the ultimate prize on Up Against The Clock - a $50 gift certificate to Little Poland in New York City’s East Village neighborhood... I love playing, too.
The funny things you can find on YouTube. The KriStef brothers. Howie IS inaapropriate. And Whataya Want From Me.
Ladies and gentlemen, the lovely and talented Jason Mraz.
