vrijdag 3 januari 2014

vrijdag 3 januari 2014 Up at 3:16. I'm a little confused. What day is it? It's FrrrrIIIIIdAAAAAy! Chicago snow! City, suburbs blanketed. Spaghetti carbonara for breakfast. Watching the snowfall live at Rockefeller Center while listening to Stephanie Miller.
Catch up with Chris Hayes. There's Global Warming And It's Snowing. Of course Joe Scarborough Has A Fit About The Global Warming Thing. Anyway... Chris Hayes interviews the author of The Hockey Stick And The Global Wars - Michael E. Mann. Up Westlake to work. It's a rather wacky day. Kenn and I cover for some planning time. One child is taking a nap. So, Kenn takes 4 of them on a walk while I stay behind. The two love reading books together.
It's mellow with these guys. So, I set up nap mats and lunches. When the others come back from their walk, it gets a little hectic. Up to Wildflowers to be an "extra" hand. The teachers seem happy to see me. Mellow lunch. Change diapers. Some of us read Pete The Cat At The Beach.
Back down to Sea Otters. Short nappers today. It seems that we're busy doing chores - doing diapers and cleaning the mats and putting them away. Hoping just to have fun with the kids. Nope. Relieved to go. Streetcar to d'town. Bus tunnel back and forth. Shop at Uwajimaya. Still a good price for Gekkeikan. Avacado and tomato salad with some terariki chicken for dinner. Watch Children Of Dune. Must unrest!
