Mushroom and golden bell pepper omelet for breakfast. Turn on Stephanie Miller. John Fugelsang hosts the show live from AM 1090 in Seattle. Yay! They play Seattle bands - Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Hendrix, even Heart - between commercials. They also talk about the Occupy Wall Street Experience. Interview with Harris Zafar about the campaign to hold blood drives at mosques to honor the victims of 9/11 - Muslims For Life. Shower. Watch Stargate SG - 1: Lost City, Part 1. Turn on Weekday LIVE - Featuring Actor And Storyteller Stephen Tobolowsky. Very funny guy. But I enjoyed the band "Awesome". Really enjoyed them! Walk up Westlake to work. Hang out with Kyle and the Dolphins on the playground. Then over to the Seahorses for an early lunch break for Anne. The kids are tired and a little cranky. Kathy sets up our lunches. Quick diapers and potty time. Over to Starfish for lunch and naps. Lunches for Kenn and Sharon. (Olivia and Cristin are out.) 2 - Toni's lunch. Back to Seahorses. One is already awake. The rest sleep until the end of the hour. I get to chat with Anne about Time/Day... the initiative to challenge the epidemic of overwork, over-scheduling and time famine that now threatens our society. Walk through Denny Triangle to my place. Watch a little KOMO News. Report - Man Who Fled Up Tree Arrested After 9-hour Standoff. I feel sorry for this guy. I don't know the whole story, though.
Walk up Pike and down University for a 30-minute walk. Pasta prima vera for dinner. Watch Stargate SG-1: Lost City, Part 2.

Conk out while watching Dude, Where's My Car? Two potheads wake up from a night of partying and can't remember where they parked their car. Ha!

Rice and egg salad for breakfast. Shower. Up Terry Avenue to work. Busy day with the Starfish and Seahorses. My old friend Finn wants to sit with me.

Time for a little hide-and-seek behind the tarp. I join them for the fun and games. Boo! They laugh!


We head inside for diapers. The kids take chairs to the table expecting lunch. Well, I have a few diapers to do. Kenn reads Where Is Coco Going? The kids absolutely love this story. I manage to get all the diapers done. OK, kids. Lunch! Over to Seahorses for Anne's lunch break. They finish their lunch. The kids settle down for nap time.



They're all asleep by 1:05. That's incredible. Bike Room after naps. Hey! We love it when Food Services Of America makes a delivery.
Happy birthday, Dude. You're 2-years-old! And your nose is runny.
Streetcar to 9th and Denny. Get some stuff at Whole Foods. Walk the rest of the way back to my place. Drop off stuff. Walk around First Hill. Up to Swedish Hospital and back. Watch some Hardball. Chris Matthews thinks that Chris Christie has the grit to match the voter anger.

Oh, no. Christian is moving out of the building. I tell him that I'm going to see OMD. "The 80s band?" Gregg and Michael pick me up and drive over to Szechuanese. Popular place. I get garlic eggplant. We meet with 4 other friends. Lively chat. Down to the Showbox SODO for the OMD concert. Yay! He turns out to be a blur, but Sandy takes a photo of the cute guitarist of the band Washington.
Wow! This is an enthusiastic crowd for OMD. "Hey, guy. Interesting T. What does MBM stand for?" ...Meat Beat Manifesto. Great show - Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark.

A lot of exciting news about Amazon. Jeff Bezos introduces the Kindle Fire. Report - With Kindle Fire, Amazon Takes On Apple. Sorry, people, but you don't need to bash Apple. Switch to Grand Lille TV. Sad news about a suspicious drowning of a young guy in a river... the 4th victim of the Deûle. It is still suspect with 4 deaths in almost a year in one place. Especially since these are people who had virtually the same physique, almost the same age.

Switch to DW-TV. Greek Prime Minister George Papandreou visits Berlin to convince German lawmakers to push through plans to boost the eurozone rescue fund. Report - Greek Premier Pleads For Rescue. Doze back to sleep for a few minutes. Steak fries and egg salad for breakfast. Turn on Stephanie Miller. Sexy Liberal John Fugelsang joins Steph and mooks to talk about the Sexy Liberal Show in Seattle this weekend... for two nights. Wow! Take a short walk around d'town. Back home. Watch Stargate SG-1: Heroes, Part. 1. Walk up Westlake to work. Hang out with the Starfish and Seahorses, giving breaks to Kenn and Tanja. We take the kids out to the playground. I cover while Cristin gets new library books. IT'S THE BOOKMOBILE! I need to take some Starfish in for diapers. How cooperative of them! I don't need to even suggest it... They get books and sit together on the sofa to read. Amazing.
I have to take a picture! Soon the others come back inside. Chanel does lunch prep. Kenn does the other diapers. Lunch is on time. I eat my sesame noodles with the kids. 12:30 - Anne's lunch. Only 5 Seahorses. Two are already asleep. The other two soon sleep, too. But Mr. A won't take a nap. 1:30 - Kenn is subbing for Olivia. It's his lunch. Half of the Starfish wake up early. The other half keep sleeping. 2:30 - Patty needs to do an observation, so I hang out with the Dolphins while she does her work. Streetcar to d'town. Train to Uwajimaya. Pick up some veggies, seafood and a small bottle of 50seju - a Korean rice wine.
Train back to d'town. Drop off groceries. Watch KOMO News. Exciting news about the Boeing 787 Dreamliner. Ramp workers cheer as the First 787 Flies To Japan for Delivery. Try 50seju. Yum. Watch Hardball. Oh, well. I'm cooking dinner anyway. I think that it's a repeat from yesterday, so I move to Stargate SG-1: Heroes, Part 2. Oyster omelet for dinner. A lot of oysters and eggs for this one. Conk out while watching Star Trek Voyager - Body And Soul.

Gay rights campaigners and feminist groups have organized the biggest anti-Pope parade, the biggest of some six demonstrations planned in the center of Berlin. Around 20,000 protesters are expected. Couscous and hard boiled egg for breakfast. Turn on Stephanie Miller. I am surprised as she that they executed Troy Davis. I went to bed last night thinking that there would be a stay of execution. Report - Troy Davis was put to death by lethal injection in Georgia late Wednesday for the 1989 murder of an off-duty police officer, maintaining his innocence until the end after convincing thousands of it, but not the justice system. Troy Davis Dead At 11:08 PM. A lot of discussion about the death penalty. I can't understand how America cheers for such an awful thing. Then there's Rush Limbaugh...

Ugh! What a racist! Monsters! Watch movie - Godzilla vs. Mothra. It's a little like déjà vu of Typhoon Roke. A cyclone smashes into Nagoya. The mutant dinosaur Godzilla suddenly emerges out of Kurada Beach, where he had been blown ashore by the storm and buried under mud, and begins to attack Nagoya. Mothra comes along with her slimy kids, and everyone fights. Walk up Westlake to work. I am Toni for 3 hours. Hang out with the 6 Seahorses. We play with pastel green play-doh. We head out to the playground. When Toni comes back, I become Cristin. I join the 8 Starfish. Mina does circle time with the kids. The lunches are already set up. I eat part of my lunch with the Starfish and the other half with the Seahorses. Cristin goes home, so I'm with the sleeping Starfish. Sam wakes up crying. I manage to calm him down before he wakes up the others. We play with the corn meal. The others sleep for a good 30 more minutes. When I go home Finn starts to cry. That gets to me. He usually doesn't do that. "Mike, Mike." Uff. My heart sinks. Back to my place. Turn on KOMO News. I've this report more than once. Huge NASA Satellite Falling to Earth Is Largest in 30 Years.

Walk up Westlake to work. I get frustrated listening to Steve Scher interview this right-wing tool -- Todd Myers. He denies global warming. Smell the hot hydro-carbons in the morning, Todd. I do. Geez! He's ridiculous. Walk up Westlake to work. From 10 to 1 - I'm with the 8 mighty Starfish while Cristin take planning time and a lunch break. The kids are actually rather grumpy. Aggressive. Sharon and I manage to keep the peace. We head out to the playground a little early. I do bubbles. Sharon takes 4 inside for diapers while I keep the other 4 outside. It's fun to play hide-and-seek with the kids behind the tarp, and we have a wood chip picnic with dinosaurs. The Velociraptor loves wood chips.
All the diapers are done, and we eat lunch. They get silly after a few minutes. They're in high-spirits today! We have Mina as a extra helper. We need her. Actually, the Starfish fall fast to sleep. All of them. 1 - Anne's lunch. Quiet time. I get to read my book - Peaceful Fighter Gandhi. 2 - Toni's lunch. The 6 Seahorses sleep. One-by-one, they wake up toward the end of the hour. The kids are using the potty now. Streetcar to d'town. Turn on The World. I like the part about Germany's Pirate Party. I think that we need these guys here in the US. Report - Young Geek Appeal in German Politics. Drop off stuff at home. Walk up Olive to the Redwood. Down Boylston and University to my place. Whew! I need a shower. Watch KOMO News. The weather guys are excited that the coastal radar is activated.
We get a good view of the next rain storm. Gov. Chris Gregoire is busy with the budget and she dealing with the teacher's strike. Report - Gregoire Brokers Deal To End Tacoma Teachers Strike. The kids are arguing about going to school or playing at home. Geez. Here's good news.

I have been worried about these guys for so long. I'm thankful for their freedom and happy for them. Watch Phoenix Mars Mission Onto The Ice.

Interesting to hear the people - with their highly educated palates - describe green beans and tomatoes to buy for their restaurants. 10 - Breaks for Pam, Anne, Toni and Sharon. I'm either in the Bike Room or on the playground. I find a bottle of bubbles for the kids on the playground. Hooray! 11 - Cristin's lunch. Sharon is subbing from Olivia today. Going inside from the playground is orderly. The 8 Starfish sit down with Sharon for a brief circle time, but I manage to get 6 diapers done. 12 - Anne's lunch. The 6 Seahorses are having their first picnic lunch inside. No more plates and lunch prep for them. The kids seem more excited about packing up than really eating. I can't believe that we get from "excited" to "calm" so quickly. They read a few books before laying down on their mats for nap time. They're fast asleep in a manner of minutes. (But we have one-napper.) 1 - Toni's lunch. Most of the Seahorses are resting peacefully. 2 - Sharon's lunch. A fairly restful hour. The kids wake up one-by-one. We serve snake a little early. Bye, kids. I walk home listening to The World. I am sad to hear about so much unnecessary suffering. As the global economy enters a dangerous stage, more and more people are committing suicide. Suicides are on the rise in those European countries suffering the most from the economic crisis - Slump Causes Suicide Spike. Drop off stuff at home. Inside, I do some diapers while Cristin does circle time. Sabrina sets up lunches. 12 - Anne's lunch. The 7 Seahorses eat lunch. 1 - Toni's lunch. They kids go down for naps. Mr. A takes a while, but he conks out 1:35. 2 - Cristin's lunch. It's quiet. I take a couple early risers to the Bike Room. Walk home. Drop off stuff. Walk up to the Harvard Market QFC to pick up a few things. Through Freeway Park back to my place. Watch Stargate SG-1: Evolution, Part. 2. A team infiltrates Anubis' super-soldier facility. Jack finally rescues Daniel. Poor, Daniel. He gets beat up.

vrijdag 16 september 2011 Happy Stay Away From Seattle Day (VIDEO)! Up with alarm. Hummus sandwich for breakfast. Turn on KTLK 1150. I like the commercial for Hotel Erwin. I want to go there. Right there on Venice Beach. Well... I am there with Google Earth. Nice. Listen to Stephanie Miller. They pile on Rep. John Boehner (R-OH) yesterday for dismissing President Barack Obama’s jobs-creation package as a “poor substitute” for policies that would boost the economy and ruled out tax increases as a way to close the country’s budget gap. Blah!
Also, I like the interview with Tina Dupuy, managing editor for Crooks & Liars. They talk about the GOP’s obsession with putting politics above people. Tina has some rather astute Ecclesiastical Observations About The GOP. Tina is GOOD! Of course, we all have noticed how the crowds at recent GOP presidential debates have been morbidly exuberant.
