dinsdag 21 april 2009 Awake at Midnight. Play movie - An Inconvenient Truth. Doze back to sleep. Thanks Al Gore. Up again at 3:00. There's some truck noise down on the street. Turn on BBC News. They report - right from the King Street station - about new efforts to get high-speed trains run in the US. Cool! It's part of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA). Congress allocated $8 billion to be granted to states for intercity rail projects, with "priority to projects that support the development of intercity high speed rail service."
BBC report - Cheney Enters 'Torture' Memos Row. Why can't he just go away? Curried rice and h-b egg for breakfast. Bath. Turn on Democracy Now. Amy is in Spokane today. Walk up to Victrola for some of Chuck's coffee. Listen to his mellow music. Drop off my Samsung at my place. #43 up to B'way. Walk down to 954 Broadway East - my old Tudor Mansion commune 25 years ago. My unit is for sale - $540,000! I'll get a Mega to buy my old place.
I loved that apartment. I want it back. Walk down Prospect and down Belmont to work. 9 to 12 - I cover for Elaine's planning time and lunch. 8 busy Sea Otters. Oatmeal for snack. It makes them poop! OMG! 10:30 - Dance class. The Sea Otters need rope-walk boot camp. Dance class is a little chaotic, but the dance teacher - Karen - is very easy-going and know how to go with the flow.
After dance, we head over to the playground. It's a warm, sunny day - sunblock required. 12 - Margot's lunch. Mimi has some nice cheddar cheese in her lunch. Kaleb has a lovely p-n-b sandwich. Naps are fairly easy... but the Dolphins are rowdy. Glad to leave at 2. Streetcar to d'town. Drop off stuff at home. #10 up to Cal Anderson Park. Shirtless studs playing Frisbee, basketball and soccer. Back home. Listen to The World. Interesting report - Movie star Jackie Chan is on the defensive after he said that "too much freedom" might be bad for China. Anchor Marco Werman speaks with The World's Mary Kay Magistad in Beijing about how the comment went down in Beijing.

ReplyDeleteAmtrak from Worcester to Erie takes 12 hours !
Still a great way to travel and round trip was only $165.00 !
The food is overpriced and sucks though.
