maandag 24 mei 2010 Up with alarm. Turn on France 24 for a little bit. I want to see how the Cannes Film Festival ended up. Report - Thai Outsider Wins Coveted Palme d’Or. Uncle Boonmee Who Can Recall His Past Lives. Turn on Stephanie Miller. Toast and egg for breakfast. Shower. Steph and Chris seem to be in disagreement about Obama's response (or lack thereof) to the oil spill. This is an emergency, for sure, but Obama can't put on Superman's cape and go down to cap the thing. Walk up to Whole Foods to bet some Garlic Noodles. Alex and his mom ride the streetcar with me to Hutch Kids. This is Pam's first day as director. 10 to 12 - Planning time for Charmaine. Caitlin demands that I read Miss Mary Mack. "Ok Ok."

Alana covers for Patty. She gets out paper and markers for the kids. They enjoy working on their little sheets of paper. Down to the Bike Room. Teo finds the sticky ball. It's fun to throw it up against the windows. Ryan covets the ball. "Mine." It's sad to see him get paranoid... The other kids want to play with it, too. 12 - Charmaine's lunch. I eat my garlic noodles with the 7 Sea Otters. Patty does diapers. I clean up the lunch mess... which seems extra messy. 1 - Teresa's lunch. Six Dolphins are napping, but Piper has a 30-minute argument with Pam about napping. It gets intense, but she eventually goes to sleep. 2 - Patty's lunch. It's quiet time for the Sea Otters. I contribute the new nap music CD with Jack Johnson and others.

Edie wakes up early. We have clipboards with paper. She loves to draw. Walk up to my place. Change clothes. Shop for stuff and things at QFC. Watch Hardball and Countdown. Watch the last half of Cold Showers. I feel sorry for Mickael. He has to lose all this weight - eight kilos - to qualify for the championship team. Then he has these personal struggles... at school and at home.
