zaterdag 27 augustus 2011 Up at 5:11. Turn on MSNBC about Hurricane Irene. Hurricane Irene made landfall Saturday morning at Cape Lookout as a Category 1 Hurricane. This poor buy is at Virginia Beach from WAVY Ch 10.
Red bean chili for breakfast. Keep watching coverage of the storm on WNBC Channel 4 in NYC. As New Yorkers brace for Hurricane Irene's impact, city officials are once again reminding residents living in the lowest-lying "Zone A" areas to evacuate by 5 p.m. and that all MTA transit services are now suspended until Monday. It's cute to watch the couple get married in Long Branch, NJ live and on-air, and they escape before the storm comes.

Shower. Wander around the d'town on a beautiful sunny summer day. I drop by the King Street Station. Are they all done with the renovation? I am not impressed.

Shop a little at Uwajimaya. Train back to d'town. Turn on Channel 4 again. The mayor speaks from the emergency command center. The anchors talk about how to explain what a hurricane is to children.
They are considerate to discuss this subject. New York City is already experiencing heavy rain and steady winds at 39 mph. I can't take our gorgeous weather for granted. I take my radio and turn on the Seattle Sounds vs Columbus Crew game on my walk around shady First Hill. The Sounders explode! 4 goals in 40 minutes. "They're tearing Columbus asunder!" 3 goals in the first 17 minutes. That's a Seattle record.

GOAL SEATTLE! It's Lamar Neagle! The Federal way native collected a pass from Mike Fucito, outmuscled Rich Balchan on the challenge and powered a shot past goalkeeper Will Hesmer. 1-0 Sounders. PENALTY KICK! GOAL! Balchan whistled for a handball in the box and Mauro Rosales step up. The Argentine drills it past Hesmer for his fourth goal in six games. It's 2-0 Sounders. GOAL SEATTLE! It's Neagle with his second of the day in the 21st minute! He hammers in a cross from James Riley at the far post. Sounders up 3-0!

The Sounders keep piling on! The chants from the Seattle fans are thrilling. Watch more news about Irene. WNBC and WABC address the situation with much attention. I'm going to fall asleep before Irene hits New York City. I see the intense rain falling in Times Square.
