zaterdag 5 november 2011 Up at 4:24. Turn on France 24. Christophe Robeet reports from the European Parliament in Brussels. The guys on Talking Europe discuss and try to explain the move by Papandreou to go to a referendum. "The markets can do what they want." "Time is of the essence."

I like Robert's silver tie. By the way, Papandreou Survives The Confidence Vote. Now he wants to build another coalition. I doze off again. Happy to sleep some more. Up at 8:27. Turn on Eat The State. They talk about the election on Nov. 8 among other things. Geov Parrish is enjoying the OWS movement... especially some creative ideas like this.

Hash browns and scrambled eggs for breakfast. Listen to Wait, Wait. Colin Hanks - son of Tom Hanks - plays a game called "Till Death Do We Part ... Or At Least Until I Get A Better Offer." I'm hoping to see the Seattle Auto Show. Zig-zag through downtown Seattle to the show. Whoa! The line is so long. I don't have the patience to deal with it. But it's a beautiful day for a walk back. Look at the sunshine on the King Street Station and Pioneer Square.
Up to Pike Street. #11 bus up to Trader Joe's. Walk back down Pike to my place. Listen to The Hawaiian Radio Connection Aloha! (I think it's cool that Seattle has an Aloha Street. It's beautiful in Fall to walk up the street.) And Rick Steves' program. He is quite eclectic in this show - The Paris Art Scene, Irish Writers, and Michelangelo's Florence.

Rick discovers the high form of art in Ireland, language, where the works of poets and playwrights add color to parks and pubs. Plus, he gets tips for enjoying speciality museums in Paris, and explores how growing up in Renaissance-era Florence shaped Michelangelo into one of the greatest artists of all time.

From the sublime... I watch Scary Movie (2000).
