zaterdag 18 februari 2012

zaterdag 18 februari 2012 Up for KIRO News. Midnight movie - Ulysses with the virile Kirk Douglas. It's in Italian with English subtitles. I can't keep up, and I conk out. Restless, I wake up again at 4. Turn on DW-TV and watch Euromaxx. I'm impressed by the story of a 100-year-old snow plow train in Switzerland. To plow all that snow!

The Bernina Monster! $325 for a ticket to ride up. Hot dog and potatoes for breakfast. Still with DW-TV. The Berlinale Palast is the venue for the Berlin International Film Festival. This Ain't California is up.

Shower. #550 bus tunnel to Uwajimaya. Get peanuts, popchips, sake, veggies and eggs. Good transit karma. #550 back to d'town. Drop off stuff. Home in time for Wait, Wait. Train down to Rainier Valley. I call at 11:34 - "Are you decent?" Stop by Rainier Teriyaki on Walden St. They're showing the memorial service for Whitney Houston by CNN. Wait only 4 minutes to get my order. Take it down to G & M's. Wow! There's Pete without his hood. He looks amazing (and content). Hang out and eat some teriyaki chicken and coffee... just for a few minutes. Train back to d'town. Home by 1:24. Watch Space Precinct - Seek And Destroy.
Turn on KUOW to listen to Rick Steves: 2: Beer In Europe; An Irreverent Curiosity. Cheers, Sláinte, Skål and gezondheid. Watch movie - Lunopolis.

There are people on the moon! Two documentary filmmakers accidentally uncover the greatest moon secret the world has never known... evidence of a hidden base on the moon made by people from the future.
