vrijdag 22 november 2013

vrijdag 22 november 2013 Up at 7:28. Ham and bean soup for breakfast. Watch KOMO News. It will be a somber day today as we pause and remember John F. Kennedy. A ceremony of silent is being set up at Dealey Plaza in Dallas.
The cover of the Dallas Morning News - It Happened In Your Hometown. Cold, wet, windy weather expected for JFK ceremony. Click > JFK50 special section cover image.

Everything changed: Five decades later, a nation still mourns John F. Kennedy

The eternal flame burns at Arlington National Cemetery in Washington, D.C., 50 years after the assassination of President Kennedy. In remembrance, a wreath is being laid at the memorial today.
It's Seattle in Ohio. Take a walk in a misty drizzle. It's 50 degrees. It's a short walk around the NW quadrant of Wellington.
It's nice to get some fresh air. Back to watch MSNBC's coverage. It all makes me feel quite somber. Andrea Mitchell interviews Tom Brokaw about his documentary “Where were you when JFK died?” I need a break. I turn off the TV. Dad is resting in the Florida Room. I sit at the other end of the sofa. The TV is on, but it's on mute. Best way to watch FOX News. TV - mute. Close the eyes. It's quiet. I doze off. Mom is making dinner. Ham and mashed potatoes. Watch movie - Ted. It's raunchy and full of antics... Perfect! Thank you, Seth MacFarlane. I love the fight that John and Ted have in the hotel room, and then they make up.
