zondag 5 juni 2011

zondag 5 juni 2011 Up at 6:06. Play episode of The Outer Limits - The Children Of Spider County. Four of the nations' leading young scientists simultaneously vanish and the succeeding investigation reveals they were all born in Spider County within the same month, each delivered two months premature, and each carried the same middle name...Eros. The fifth and, apparently, next to go is Ethan Wechsler.

Hash Browns and hard boiled egg for breakfast. Turn on Mind Over Matters. KEXP is doing their pledge drive. Mike McCormick is trying hard to make his goal. Walk up to Whole Foods to get a few things. The people at the Aspira - at Terry & Stewart - should be inspired to be out on their balconies to enjoy this glorious day. I see no one!

Drop off stuff at my place. Turn on KUOW for A Prairie Home Companion. I like the segment with Ian Frazier and his Mein Radiergummi ist unzulänglich. (My eraser is inadequate.)

Coming to you this week from the Amphitheater at Fort Tuthill County Park in Flagstaff, Arizona, it's a high altitude performance ofA Prairie Home Companion with Garrison Keillor. With special guests, Country renaissance man Jimmie Dale Gilmore and The Wronglers, and brilliant writer and humorist Ian Frazier. Also with us, the Royal Academy of Radio Actors; Tim Russell, Sue Scott, andFred Newman, Rich Dworsky and The Guy's All-Star Shoe Band, and vocalist Andra Suchy. Plus, the latest news from Lake Wobegon.

With the radio plugged into my ears, I take a hike up to the Seattle Center. See the new GF. Gates Foundation Opens New Headquarters In Downtown Seattle. See the people from Race For The Cure. I guess that they're done already. There are lots of them on my #18 bus ride to d'town. Stop at my place for a rest and a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. Turn on the 4th and last game of the Rays Vs. Mariner series. I hear some dramatic plays while I sit at the B'way Farmer's Market and in Cal Anderson Park. Greg Halman (from the Netherlands... I didn't know) drives in a run to break a 3-3 tie. And Miguel Olivo hits a tiebreaking three-run homer to power the Mariners to a 9 to 6 win. Time to relax. People are playing hacky-sack, baseball, riding bikes and doing yoga. The people are crowded at the south end since the water fountains and pools are closed. Nice day at the park.

Back to my place. Listen to NPR News. Watch Stargate Universe - Twin Destinies and Alliances. Couscous and tofu with some stir fried veggies for dinner. Laugh at Futurama - A Clockwork Origin. A clockwork origin... In A Clockwork Orange the protagonist is tied down to a chair to change his beliefs on violence. It seems that some people are being forced to accept Creationism. I'm not quite sure whether this episode is for or against evolution. But I love the appearance of the Flying Spaghetti Monster during an anti-evolution rally.
Fall asleep while watch movie - Logan's Run. Logan’s Run, based on a 1967 novel by William F. Nolan and George Clayton Johnson, sees a future society that demands the death of everyone upon reaching a certain age. Anyone who veers from that destiny is dubbed a “runner” and is hunted by operatives known as Sandmen. Logan is a Sandman who is forced to go on the run.
