dinsdag 2 maart 2010

dinsdag 2 maart 2010 Up at 2:10. Weird night's sleep with crazy dreams. I dream that I can't find my bus pass, and I'm fumbling through my wallet and everything falls out. Another - I dream that I drop my computer, and it breaks into 4 pieces. Turn on BBC News. Report about Palestinian bagpipe players.

Hearing those bagpipes really wakes me up. Some burrito for breakfast. Shower. Turn on Stephanie Miller. She talks about her appearance on Joan Behar. Comments about Sarah Palin encouraging Tea Party Politics. Steph thinks that they're going to crash and burn all by themselves.

Up to Kaladi to get some Chamomile tea. The shop is rather quiet. I wonder if Jeremiah gets bored... especially during the opening hour. Back to my place. Read news about the chaos in Chile. Report - Bachelet Urges Chile Earthquake Survivors To Stay Calm. Explore Valparaíso, Chile - an ocean front town - with Google Earth. Short walk around d'town. Streetcar to work. 10 to 11:30 - Kitchen duty. 11:30 to 12 - Seahorse lunch prep. 12 to 12:30 - Mat set-up for Wildflowers. 12:30 to 1:30 - Extra for Rainforest Kids. I help some of the kids pack up their left-overs. Margot does potty time. The kids settle down for nap time. 2 - Organize the Tactile Room. It's used as a storage room for broken things. I throw most of those things out. Catch the 3 o'clock streetcar to d'town. #106 bus tunnel to Uwajimaya. I crave their teriyaki chicken. Also get some Thai tea, Sho Chiko Bai and a Mega. (I hope I win.) #41 bus tunnel up to my place. All the buses are packed. Turn on KOMO News. It's 56° while it's snowing in the South. Topsy-turvy. Watch MSNBC News. This report sounds a bit crazy - Chile Earthquake May Have Shortened The Days. But this report focuses on Seattle... Pacific Northwest At Risk For Mega Earthquake.

Located just 50 miles off the coast, the 680-mile-long Cascadia fault has lain dormant for 300 years. When it awakens, the consequences could be devastating to Northwest cities such as Seattle (shown here), Portland and Vancouver.

Thanks a lot. I'm feeling a bit on edge about earthquakes. Finish burrito for dinner. Watch Ocean's 11 (1960).

The guy on the right has a God complex. He's so perfect.

Look at those old Las Vegas casinos (Sahara, Riviera, Desert Inn, Sands, and The Flamingo).
