woensdag 31 maart 2010

woensdag 31 maart 2010 Up at Midnight again. Turn on BBC News. I hear some references to Leicester. Their football league is doing really well. Leicester is located on Midland Main Line and close to the M1 motorway. The city has a large ethnic minority population, particularly of South Asian origin, a product of immigration to the United Kingdom since the Second World War. To cater for the South Asian community, there are many Hindu, Sikh and Muslim places of worship. And they will have he Christ In The Centre this Friday. I manage to fall back to sleep, but the computer re-starts itself and wakes me up again. Rice and beans for breakfast. Turn on Stephanie Miller. Hal Sparks announces that he's planning to donate sperm to a lesbian couple. All of a sudden, women call into the show to support Hal in his "endeavors." Up to Kaladi for some of Jeremiah's Red Goat coffee. Hang around for a little while. Back to my place. Shower. More Stephanie. She talks a little about her visit yesterday with Valerie Bertanelli hosting The Joy Behar Show. You're pretty funny Steph.

Walk up Westlake to work. 10 to 11:15 - Breaks for Kenn, Toni, Patty, Anne and Christin. The Dolphins are playing in goop - cornstarch and water. What a glorious mess!

Hey! How is that Mousse working for you?

What's going on next door? It's a paint mess! The Sea Otters' art project is to paint with their feet on photo paper on the floor. They're painting with their diapers as well.

Watch out... It's slippery. Whoa, dude! Hang 10!

Lots of groups are taking walks on this sunny yet chilly day. 11:30 to 12:30 - Kenn's lunch. The Dolphins are in the Bike Room. Nolan is tired and clingy. 12:30 to 1 - Kechelle's lunch. Wildflowers eat lunch up to 1 o'clock. 1 - Darnell's lunch. One-by-one, 7 Rainforest Kids fall asleep. (Two - No Nap.) 2 - Patty's lunch. Caitlin wakes up early. It's pretty quiet, otherwise. Streetcar to d'town. Walk down to the Pike Place Market. I love the sunshine and the people walking down the sidewalks. I'm listening to The World on the radio. According to one report, The military is figuring out The Logistics Of Withdrawling From Iraq. Down First Avenue to Pioneer Square. Walking by the Elliott Bay Book Store, I see the sign - March 31 - last day. They close today. I wonder how the people feel.

I have mixed feelings. I'll always remember walking across those creaky, wooden floors... using just browsing... because I'm too poor to buy a real book. They hope that they carry on their tradition of hosting readings from important authors at the new place. Good luck, EBBS. Up Jackson to Uwajimaya. Get a couple of things. #41 bus tunnel to my place. Turn on France 24. Big report - The global community pledged nearly 10 billion dollars for Haiti over more than 3 years. Beef and rice noodles for dinner. Play movie - Star Trek (2009).
