donderdag 10 december 2009

donderdag 10 december 2009 Up with alarm. Solid night's sleep. Nice! Turn on Stephanie Miller. She has a lot of interviews on the show. She talks about her appearance on Larry last night. She misses being in the studio with him since she's in NYC now.

Egg on rice for breakfast. Brrrrr. It's 64.3° in the apartment. I should turn the radiator on. Nice hot bath to warm myself up. Up to Kaladi. Four people ahead of me. That doesn't happen very often. Back to my place with my coffee. Listen to more Steph. I love her chat with Deven Green and Andrew Bradley about Betty Bowes: America’s Best Christian.

I see headlines in the Seattle Times - Gregoire: Don't Make Me Do It. We also made another cold low last night - 17° Streetcar to work. 10 to 11:45 - Planning time for Patty. Seven busy Sea Otters play freely. The place is trashed. We take the kids out to the frozen playground. It's only 21° We button up the kids. It takes a lot of work to put on all the coats, hats and mittens. Kenn sets up the lunches. 11:45 to 12:45 - Charmaine's lunch. Alex is expressing his displeasure about waiting for lunch. They're hungry. 12:45 - My break. 1 - Over to Seahorses for Carrie's lunch. She is subbing for Olivia. Théo is coughing a lot in his sleep. He doesn't sleep for long, and the other hear him coughing and wake up as well. He sits with me and we read A Ticket To France.

2 - Back to Sea Otters for Patty's lunch. They're sleeping, but Wyatt cries out when I sit down. Charmaine gets him back to sleep. It's when Paxton - next door - drops a toy on the floor, the Sea Otters start waking up. Noisy neighbor! Streetcar to d'town. Walk straight up Pine to Cal Anderson Park. I check out the future location of The Elliott Bay Bookstore on Capitol Hill. They're moving out of Pioneer Square... after 36 years.

Lots of cars in the streets... lots of people (shoppers) on the sidewalks. There's Jeremiah working in Kaladi. The shop is busy again. Listen to The World. Report - President Obama's Peace Prize.

President Barack Obama has said the US must uphold moral standards when waging wars that are necessary and justified, as he accepted his Nobel Peace Prize. Noodles and Teriyaki chicken for dinner. Watch movie - Far From Heaven.
